Have an 07 V6 mustang convertible (s197), looking for any existing builds. Decently handy with access to a shop. Would be nice gap some of the v8s.

Step 1, sell the v6
Step 2, buy a v8
That is literally the best value "mod" you can do to your car for performance

there was a guy around 2007 or so named rygenstormlocke that got a 4.0 v6 into the 10 second 1/4 mile. I think he had a turbo setup. I think somebody did it with a vortech supercharger setup too.

you'll hit 14's with engine tuning and gears

I just found his post. He hit 10's with a built motor, a turbo, and 75 shot of nitrous on top lel.

if it's a 5 speed then it still has a WC T5, you can snag the bellhousing from an SN95 or S10 and install your choice of windsor or sbc/ls, anything more than a mild 351/350 or 5.3 and you'll blow it up through

or On3performance.com they sell a turbo kit for the SOHC 4.0L. You'll have to call them though cause its not listed on their site.

why do Americans seem to dislike convertibles?where i'm from it seems every car is instantly worth 50% more if it's a convertible

It's the same thing here a car is sold for more if it's convertible until the seller realizes no one is actually buying it. I mean it kinda depends on the car as well. But yeah even in america people with moldy soft tops "know what they got."

In a convertible everyone can see you, and some Americans are really insecure about that. I saw posts like
>if you don't look at least 9/10, don't buy it
>ppl will discuss what they see
>right there in the street!
Probably imageboard recluse mentality, I don't think it's a good idea to generalize. Boomers and younger population from marque/model-specific forums seem to love verts despite all the disadvantages.

Convertibles are almost always heavier and less dynamically accomplished than the equivalent coupe due to swapping out a rigid roof for a folding top mechanism, so /o/ will shit and piss themselves in anger if you ever dare to imply that open top motoring is fun because your car is slower on the Burgerking or Willow Springs or drag strip (pick whichever one suits your narrative best) and that is the only metric that matters because /o/ is full of eternally emasculated busriders who can only enjoy performance cars through consooming someone else's lap time numbers and Youtube clips of someone else driving their favorite cars like the cucks they are. It doesn't matter if your car is explicitly designed around dynamic capability despite not having a roof and/or you just want a comfy croozer that does the occasional highway pull, you'll be besieged by endless buzzword howling from people mad at you for actually enjoying cars because actual car enjoyers left /o/ a long while ago.

the majority of convertibles are built for and sold in the US. Euros are the ones who hate them because "muh Clarkson bricks held together with a playing card"
there's a reason why the Ferrari California isn't named the 'Munich'.

What? Europe is not a single country. In some countries convertibles are widely loved even despite the climate (like in the UK).
