Get some body damage on that car and other drivers will cower in fear of your reckless driving on the highway.

I'm about to start a job that has a long highway commute, and I was planning on buying this '05 manual 2.5 altima so I can have a manual shitbox that still feels comfy and stable on the highway. It has 138k miles, what can go wrong?

Do it. Nissan was still semi-reliable back then.

Its good because it will be a 20 years old clapped out altima which causes fear to other drivers. Making others aware of you decreases your own risk of being hit in an accident.

Nothing wrong with that at all. Pre 2007 altimas and sentras are fine cars, even the autos. You just hardly see any that old left because rust was a big problem on older Nissans. Just be weary of that.
