Oh no, a Japanese shitbox driven at 2k RPM lasts longer than BMWs driven at 6k RPMs. Who would have fucking thought?

What BMW is geared like that? That's an unusual and specific claim.
Somehow a Miata running 4500rpm on the highway lasts over a 1/4-million miles ezpz.

BMW is reliable guys just replace the prematurely failing gaskets, water pumps, injectors, fuel pumps, solenoids, switches, window regulators, leaking sunroof and more. A cointoss between a 20 minute job or removing the entire engine from the car, replacing the expensive part that has planned obsolence built in at a premium and wasting 20 minutes on some propietary programmer so the car recognizes the component. Imagine fucking needing a specialized tool to swap a battery.

it's a meme. BMW attracts younger drivers>they beat on the car, but don't have finances for maintenance (very important for German cars. especially if beaten, and this is not just for BMW)>they sell it, unlucky car newbie buys it>"REEE IT KEEPS BREAKING, ONLY NEW BMW GOOD :(("

notice how its a diesel? europeans can't make gasoline engines. its why their government taxes gasoline more than diesel to keep competition out.
