>>28504349 (OP)I love those old long body cars, with 2 doors. I think it was something to do with the boat ofa body that made them stick to the roads, better handling than todays cars. Or maybe it was something to do with the big front end hanging out in front of the 2 front tires, with a big v8 engine in it, weighing down the front end of hte car to the road.
I had an 81' Monte Carlo and there was this certain curve on this road I lived on. I had an 85' Chevy Celebrity before this, and the fastest I could take this curve in the Celebrity was 45mph, and it made the tires screech. This 81' Monte Carlo I had later, I could take the same curve going like 60-65mph. All I know is i could fly on curvy back roads and it just stuck to the road. Also maybeit had something to do with the front tires not spinning (cause rwd) and they never started slipping from giving it gas like a FWD would do, even tho you could hypothetically floor it and spin the front tires to spin yourself back onto the road with a fwd. RWD never hardly slipped, just the rear end usually.
1 last story. I drove some girls sport suspension small car once around then. And so I thought wow sports suspension, wonder how much better it can hold to the road. Tried doing with it what I done with my MOnte Carlo and as soon as I tried to take a curve fast; i was being cautious, the car started screeching, and i wasn't doing near what I would do that same curve in my Monte Carlo with.
