Where did it all go wrong?

Old cars
>comfy as fuck
>good suspension
>seats are actually couch tier comfort
>ride is soft and smooth and plush
>felt like floating on a cloud

New Cars
>stiff as fuck
>giant rims, thin tires with harsh feeling rides
>bucket style seats that are firm and not comfy
>basically made to go around track corners at speeds these cars will never reach on normal roadways

I hate the giant rims but the bucket seats feel good on my back for some reason. I like that firm upper thoracic support.

I miss when a "top trim" Accord or Camry might have meant you get an interior with gathered, cream-colored leather with faux wood grain, gold badging, and maybe even some dealer extras like gold badges, mesh-style wheels and so on. There might even be a landau top involved if it's some old dude buying it. Don't forget the metallic champagne or dark green paint on the outside, too.
Now, top trim means it's got to have sporty bucket seats, 19-20" wheels with low profile tires, a "sport-tuned" suspension, and don't forget the factory canards, splitter, spoiler and all the fake carbon fiber and contrast red stitching on the interior. A Camry or Accord doesn't need that shit (and in the Accord's favor it doesn't have that shit, the Camry and it's TRD variant are absolutely guilty however, Altima SR as well)

Very short suspension travel on new cars. You need gigantic stroke for comfy ride. Short suspension travel is cheaper than long travel.
>>bucket style seats that are firm and not comfy
Old seats had springs in them, new ones are blocks of foam. Foam is cheaper than springs.

Nothing has gone wrong, Honda Accords are perfect and based for the vast majority of car buyers.

It's kinda based honestly, mogging the shit out of their Mexican-Canadian built competition over at the big three, who sucked so bad at making cars, that they've just given up.

Everything is clown world, everything is a humiliation, everything is chinese. Even if we all had millions of dollars there'd be almost nothing to spend it on, certainly nothing new. You have to be a BILLIONAIRE and start up a company on your own god damned dime (no investors will help you :^) to get what was cheap and standard within our own recent memory. The only valuable things in this day and age are gold, silver, bullets, and durable antiques; all else is quite literally not worth the *paper* of the fiat you paid to buy the damn things with.

we're all brown, just different shades of it
even whites are really light brown technically
and brown is just dark orange.
