I deserve better bait.
Anyways,
As a millennial homeowner I often think if I'm the new Boomer.
I bought a house for $220,000 at 2.9% interest.
Within 7 years, the house is now valued at $750,000.
Meanwhile people with six figure incomes can't afford to buy houses.
And there's basically nothing below $400K these days that's not in a nigger infested area of town
My mortgage is 15% of my income.
While most pay 60%+
I am the new Boomer.

So live with a week in the car without interruption.

As a test

same, but not quite as drastic a market jump. 319 to 700+. mortgage is 800, and with consistent double ups it'll be paid off within 4 years. any of my friends that aren't making 6 figures were completely priced out of the market without familial loans or by being literal basement dwellers saving up everything they can while not paying rent. fucking sucks for them

I think philosophically I live better as a non home owner.

My bud has a half million dollar house that is smaller than my apartment. I have a working fireplace, he was told by the city they will peg him if he tries using his.

He spends 4k on mortgage.

My luxury apartment is 2k.

I set aside another 1k for retirement and 1k for a crazy sports car I don't need.

My wife and I go on 4 week long vacations a year.

My buddy had to save up for his lawn mower.

We all hang out at his house for social events.

I live in Nebraska. lots of cheap places for sale here, even in non-nigger infested areas. i've wanted a 1-bedroom condo for so long, but now i'm not sure if i even want to live in nebraska anymore.

I would if it was an option where I live. Both new and used car prices are retarded. If my current shitbox dies I might just get a moped.
