Have you ever ridden in a self driving car?
Would you?

No to both. Self driving cars are a big nothing burger because pajeets can't code and the melanin enhanced vandalize them. Unironically diversity is our strength when it comes to delaying the self-driving takeover

No, but I've been thinking about tinkering my car to add that feature. I just dont know enough about car systems yet to understand whether/if I can add an older junkyard radar + acc system that hooks to throttle or something. And what sort of knowledge is required for that to be. With a computer at home, I know everything how to add parts, upgrade parts, add third party extra stuff and software for it, but cars are bit blackbox since its maintained by non-computer forks and information about the vehicles arent disseminated on the web.

No, and no. I don't even use cruise control because I don't like having my vehicle do things "out of my control". I honestly can't say I even really like being passenger in a car, and that's usually with someone I trust, a random machine does not have my trust.

I visited some family in Arizona and these shitboxes were everywhere. They can be somewhat aggressive too. I didn't let one merge in front of me in a low-speed lane merge, so it got extremely close and was really trying to push in. Then another one that was behind me stopped to let it in. You can watch all the videos of these things working, but seeing them in person is still surreal.

Yeah, made a trip with a friend from cali to or egon in his model 3 with top FSD package. We took 2-3 hour shifts in driving (which was just turn on self driving and go). The issue is because the car is able to do all the work/lane changes/leave off ramp/park itself, i started to doze off behind the wheel, and you're supposed to be always paying attention in case a mistake happens. Half way into trip i had to basically turn off self driving and drive myself for a while so i wouldnt completely fall asleep.

Live in SF, honestly I trust Waymos more than uber/lyft drivers, these fuckers are always on the phone distracted.

I use fsd sometimes but it's very scary because of the what-if factor. The highway is one thing because it's just "stay in between the lanes and don't hit the car in front of you". Pretty much every new car can do that these days. On the streets it's just too nerve wracking because how do I know that it won't "think" that it's good to go and then get t boned. It's a fun novelty because it really is crazy just sitting there with your hands in your lap and watching the wheel turn itself.

No, and I think it's funny when they're vandalized or destroyed.
