Why are modern automakers allergic to:
real buttons
actual leather and wood
colors other than black
they would sell more of these if it was a bunch of buttons and the screens were JUST to look at the map I should never fucking have to touch a screen it should just be for maps
and gimme back analog speedometer + tachometer plz

It would cost them more and normies don't care. Enthusiasts don't keep them afloat, which is why Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Lamborghini sell SUVs.

If you deport 200 million, ban single women from holding credit, and dissolve blackrock, the problem eventually solves itself; they'll make cheap manual trucks for men with porno-red velour bench seats again. Solves itself even faster if you ban usury and deport bagels.

It doesn't cost anything more or less to have the materials, especially polymer based ones, come in different shapes or colours or textures than they already do now; tools for shaping and colouring and texturizing them the way they are now were created to begin with. They were made one way, and may just as well be made another way. Even just the slightest of differences can make huge differences.
Car interiors look the way they do not because a 10 dollar fudge-factor in fabrication is so devastating; they look the way they do because the designs decided to make them look that way.
They look cheap not because they have to be that way to actually be cheap, but because the designers themselves are 'cheap' in spirit, and their spirit is reflected in what they create.

They used to build car interiors the way they built couches and chairs because those were the most comfortable thing in the house.

Then they found a way to save 14 cents and made seats worse.

Have you seen rolls royce nowadays? It's all fake wood and infinite plastic. You literally cannot buy a nice car anymore, no matter how much you pay.

most new cars are purchased (financed) by poor retards. poor retards love screens. they carry them in their pockets. they look at them 16 hours a day. they get all of their opinions from screens. they even let screens raise their kids. so it follows, then, that screens should and must be in their car -- and they are.

Nigger there is no alternative. All the brands change within the same year or two because they all use the same damned consulting firms. Once all the brands change, nobody wants to spend more money and go back alone. It's gay and ass and shit and fuck

The nicest interiors I have seen are on Genesis. But even then, seems like there's a lot of room for craftsmanship - interesting textures and colors of wood and leather that are not garish - nicely padded seats - real buttons made of actual metal and most manufacturers just give you plastic and screens.
I will say BMW interiors are now the least terrible of the mainstream luxury brands, but that's not saying much and they have banished buttons.

I also wish you could get more buttons on the steering wheel I hate having to reach over - I want a button-fest steering wheel.

because when any brand attempts anything different from this shit nobody ever puts their money where their mouth is and buys it
