The best car ever made
No car has surpassed the S13 180/200/240SX. It's the perfect car. Unfortunately drifters crashed and ruined too many with mods. Now they are a rarity especially stock.

Nu-86 is the same price as the 240sx was adjusted for inflation. Nu-86 has a torsen LSD standard. Nu-86 has rear wishbones.
>240sx
0-60 in 8.6 sec. 1/4 mi in 16.4
>Nu-86
0-60 in 5.4 sec. 1/4 mi in 13.9.

>Unfortunately [people] crashed and ruined too many with mods. Now they are a rarity especially stock.
Same with most sport compacts. But that's what I'd do with one and likely what you want one for.

Yes we did, but it was worth pointing out. If one can have fun in a murrican 240, they'd have more fun in a nu-86.
A lot of murricans idolize the 240sx but make fun of the 86 because of some social hivemind bs and I think it's weird.

Actually now that I think about it, wedges weren't that common outside of like Italy, lambos and ferraris mostly.
Wedges in yurop were mostly super cars and other very expensive sports cars.

Gross, you've got nostalgia goggles on anon, becsuse these things were shit cars and they were cheap for a reason, the sooner you realize that anything bad becomes good after enough time, the better off you'll be, because better cars have come into our lives since S chassis.

Yeah I know. Here a good one popped up couple weeks ago. It was completely stock expect the wheels and was not overpriced at all. I would have bought it but I didn't have enough cash on hand to buy it without taking a loan. Now I kick myself and think how I should have taken a loan to get it. Because let's just say it wasn't listed for long.

I doubt another one like that pops up for a while.

s chassis are shit in stock config tho

also for me its r chassis, 4 door skyline with AWD is the sauce. cool thing the suspension on all rwd nissans is identical in the back and interchangeable in the front.

EV's and horsepower inflated muscle cars of 2010s have skewed the perception of what counts as a "slow car". In what world is 5.4 second 0 to 60 slow? Early model FD RX7's went 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds.

>I have never seen an unmolested one in my life

I have. That was 25+ years ago and was a two tone ‘89 240sx. Got to drive it a few times too and that’s why I like 90s era and older Nissans. And there was an ugly dark green s14 from many years ago (a decade or more).

Nowadays it’s $6K for a beaten up shell without engine/trans that’s been sitting for years in someone’s garage. What a joke!

I hate this cycle so much
>a fun affordable sporty car is released (60s Muscle cars, 240SX etc)
>They sell a lot and because of that after a decade they are cheap
>Kids proceed to destroy them (kids pretending to be Duke's of Hazard with 60s Muscle Cars and drifters with the 240SX)
>The good examples of those cars are driven near extinction
>Now the ones that remain command ridiculous prices

Boomers ruined 60s Muscle Car market and Millenials ruined the 240SX market.

Sorry, but the GR86 does everything the S13 did except better.

S13 has 202 hp and weighs 2,700 lbs (149.6 hp/ton)
GR86 has 228 hp and weighs 2,800 lbs (162.9 hp/ton)
Plus
Faster 0-60
Faster 1/4 mile
Higher top speed (not that it really matters)
Better suspension
Better drivetrain
Better handling
All that for costing pretty much the same amount after inflation adjustment.

Also I think the 86 has better styling however that's completely subjective

RWD shitbox niche is dominated almost exclusively by second (or more like fifth) hand BMWs. 20 years ago you would might have seen more Sierras and Omegas but most of them are gone.
E24 would have been the Euro"wedge", but it was probably more up market than Third gens
