When fast and furious came out, almost every racing car had cool stickers and designs, now we don't see it anymore. What year did the era of personalized decals end?

The real reason is the wrap ends up costing as much as the shitbox it was intended to be slapped on and they realize if they take that saved up money and sell their current cat they can get a better car. Then they once again save up for a wrap with even more details but then the same realization happens and the cycle repeats. Wells there's no point in ricing a car out unless you have an autistic obsession for that one specific car and even then most autists would just buy another copy of the same car.

It got played out. Trends come and go. Especially with the internet these things come and go so fast you get whiplash trying to keep up. Someone does something original and interesting, it goes viral, everyone copies it, it's not original anymore, and everyone moves on to the next thing.

Credit became more available whereas in the 00s a teeny bopper wouldn't be able to roll into a bank and get a $40k car loan on a pulse and a mcjob. Things have changed a LOT since then. We were forced to buy cars cash then slowly upgrade with cash which is why you'd see shit like civics with $30k in mods being built up over a couple years.

It's still a thing but really only in areas where the culture originated mainly the West Coast and a select few east coast cities.

I think it just makes your car unique and distinguishable to cops. A lot of the current racing today in broad daylight tends to be in white, silver, or black cars.
