He's the only reviewer who can even begin to properly review a malaise car other than the ultimate malaise-man, "bill from curious cars." All other reviewers either shit on them for eternity or make basedfaces over the seats and never touch on the rest of the car. He's the only reviewer period who can properly review shitty late 90's-early 00's cars. All his other reviews have been a boring slog punctuated by [[GAY SEX]] for the past 7 years or so.

His gimmicks are fun for a little while but then you realize the videos are all the same, and how fucking weird he is. Being a fuckup really bleeds into his content. Some of his thoughts about cars don't make any sense (like going as far back as doing that restomod Falcon that he did everything wrong for.) He's also a gay furry and his group of friends are all people who seems to be cut from similar cloth--ie: folks who're sort of hanging on the fringes of society. I remember listening to a few sort of open-mic videos he did chatting about life with his buddies and there was a real /r9k/ "there's no place for me" vibe going on. I stopped watching his channel a long time ago and I can only imagine how bad it must be now.

I kind of liked his whackyness especially making fun of boomers. Once he reviewed some cars I had actually driven I realized what he was doing, he sort of talks about the vibe of the car but stuff like engine, handling and comfort are just not accurate. I think for him its more about telling a story with the car as a character, its interesting hearing about his experience growing and what these cars represented at the time like how all those boomers drove those K cars despite being terrible but they were cool at the time.

Demuro is one of the worst for that, his videos are probably better on silent for the nice 4k footage. Tedward, number 27 and hubnut are pretty decent ones. Still too many reviews are either this is great, soo retro or this is crap, its too old. I'd like reviews based on really why is this a good car to own as a classic. Jay Leno is even cool but I get the impression he really dislikes mid 70's and early 80's cars or even 4 door cars, yeah he's a bit boomer like that.

I stopped watching him around the time he bought that older car, can't recall what it was. Recently had his Daihatsu Midget review pop up and I watched it. He hasn't changed much. Still boring takes while lashing out at everyone but himself for existing.

The very early videos had some funny moments. They he started getting high on the smell of his own farts and every video had to be a literary piece. Then he must have decided that people couldn't rip on him if he came out as a faggot, he was wrong. WhistlingDiesel creates higher quality content than he does as low as that bar is.

Someone said he's only into car reviews because that's the only thing he succeeded at, which frankly tracks with the argument that people have about a lot of auto and videogame reviewers/"journalists" aren't enthusiasts, but people who wanted to be "real" journalists" and resent the fact they aren't.
