where the fuck are you getting your service manuals and/or torque specs?

>hmm what should the torque specs be on the lower control arm of my 2022 escape
>heh that'll be $44.99 plus tip goy
>$206 for the actual ford DVD (wangblows only)
it's all so fucking tiresome.

you might spend more than 50 bucks worth of your time just trying to track down a copy someone else uploaded. I've heard the library might have some manuals, or maybe access to alldata but I've never checked. operation charm has a lot of stuff too but nothing that recent. monitoring thread anyway in case there's a source I haven't seen yet but for the most part manuals seem to be a bitch to find online

You don't need torque specs. You just tighten it firmly. Only in extremely specific this doesn't work.

I get a discount on alldata, but alldata isn't that great and it's still an idiotic subscription model that's car specific. it'd be worth the 200 a month for unlimited model access if I was making money off it, but im not, so I wont.

the point is I shouldn't have to pay someone for this gay shit in the first place.

charm is cool, but 2013 was 20 years ago.

I got a GMT800. I just google the part and it's TQ spec and I get a million results. Pretty much every mechanic is only going to be using a torque wrench on your lug nuts btw.

you can sometimes find scanned copies people uploaded. it's getting harder and harder to find that kind of stuff with the horrible modern search engines, I would suggest checking enthusiast forums and searching there.

I found full service manual for my pos on that bay that sells thing. All electronic and nice.

Ever tried walking into somewhere and asking a human to look at the appropriate thing. I have been known to walk away with the requisite information.

Old stock from eBay. Workshop manuals for modern cars are fucking garbage compared to what they once were, but in your case I'd look for a Haynes manual second hand on eBay. At least you can then resell it afterwards, unlike a digital purchase.

Nah, maybe on your grandpappies k10 in uncle bob's stick weld emporium, but everything these days that you would bother with torquing in the first place is torque to yield and they absolutely torque and angle in Real(tm) shops.

I just put '[year] [model] factory service manual' into the search engine. Sometimes throw in 'pdf' or 'download' keywords for different results.
Works every time when you aren't retarded.

for most cars i've had good luck buying pirated FSM off ebay for like $20
also check enthusiast forums for that model, sometimes there will be a mega link to the FSM

DEI killed all parts shops here. Bunch of women with tattoos that can't tell models apart. I am not talking about trim levels of a model, but "what is a cavalier" is 100% why I stopped asking for help at AutoZone. Even advance used to be great, there was an old guy there for a decade but he retired. General knowledge about where you work is no longer needed

Yes. Two of those bibles are in fact the '94 manual. The 2 "'95 addendums" are the same size as the 2 '94's. Why in the fuck they didn't just redo the manuals regularly for the '95 is beyond me, would've been the same effort with less insanity
