With that out of the way, you pull over to the shoulder if there is only one lane. If you are in too much of a rush to pull over, you wouldn't be driving so slow. The only reason to stay in the way is because you need the control.

I don't think about them at all. Literally just imagine they're not there. On my older shitboxes without auto dimming mirrors I'd just keep it in "night" mode even during the day so I don't get too distracted with what's behind me.
The only time I'll care is if I'm on some rural 2 lane country road in the middle of nowhere, and NOT blasting through it faster than everyone else (i.e. family in car, sightseeing etc). I'll gladly signal and pull aside at the nearest turn off or side road in that case to let them by.

If it's a public and maintained road (and you aren't in Somalia), there is an engineering stamp associated with that road. Engineering a road that can be blocked by any and all car trouble is unbelievable on many levels. However, you don't see what you choose to not see. In other words, the problem is you.
Also, even unmaintained logging trails end up with turnouts. If you are offroading, you still can't escape the existence of turnouts.

I'm not going to give a fuck about someone tailgating me while I'm doing 77 in a 65, while I'm sitting in the middle lane, for instance. Most of my driving isn't on mountain roads though.
It did somewhat redpill me when I started riding with a few friends and realizing that they just tailgate like crazy without realizing it. It made me realize that a lot of the times where you'll be thinking "what is this asshole doing" they're just not thinking at all, just driving on autopilot.

Some days I'm doing 75 in the left lane, and a car doing 80+ is coming up behind me so I move to the middle, and they will follow me to the middle and get right behind me matching my speed despite having to slow down to do so.

Other times when I move to the middle they will get right into my blindspot in the left, and just sit there speed matching me. Slow down but not noticeably, only by 1-2mph slower every minute or so. When they get upset and pass, let them, then make a large delayed maneuver around to get in front of them again, then do the same thing. I do this all the time to left lane blockers on my daily commute.
