Does the crank shaft drive the cam shaft or does the cam shaft drive the crank shaft?

If this is a serious question, the crank shaft drives it. If it's not a serious question, I drive a rotary anyway, so neither.

But the cam shaft opens the valves to put air and fuel into the pistons to drive the crank shaft

I knew you'd take it in that direction. But still the answer does not change.

But if you think about it, the cam drives the valves, the valves push the gas in, and the fuel and air drive the combustion moving the pistons and the crank

Directly, the crank
Indirectly, the cam
The real answer is that the battery drives it all

The crankshaft is where the torque for turning the camshaft, turning the accessory built, and most importantly, turning the car wheels comes from.
I'm assuming that's what you mean by "drive"
You can have no combustion (i.e. the camshaft does nothing) and the car can still move.

But really it is all being driven by you the driver

Thats like saying the fuel pump is driving the crank and cam.

If you were able to freeze all components at the moment the spark plug fires and disconnect the timing set, when you magically started time again the crank would spin but the cam would not.
Fuel delivery is only potential- so fuel pump, injectors/carb, valves are parasitic. They are no provinlding output. Only when the fuel ignites has power been produced, which is then transfered through the piston and rods to the crank.

The valves are actuated by parasitic draw from shaft power.
Call it what you will, whatever mechanism you use, it all comes from and depends on the same source.
