Will the gold badges trend ever come back?

It already has kind of. Look at the Ford Tremors and Subaru Wildernesses.

It's possible. Everything old is new again eventually. Look at this BMW, it got the Midnight Club 3 treatment straight from the factory

I hope so
i saw a newer s type with gold badges a few months ago and i said to myself, self, that looks phenomenal. it inspired me to do better in life, set goals, you know? after arriving home i furiously masturbated to completion. of course, i've incorporated the visual into my routine ever since and can't finish without it. i'd be lying if i said that's not a good thing

I try to see the appeal in BMW as a brand but then I see stuff like this and I'm back to square one.

Gold on cars is vile and only an NPC brand like Toyota would use them.

I hope not. I have two 90s era Toyotas and the gold badging looks like such shit. Maybe when it was new but they fade and look so gross. The Lexus is worse because it also has gold exhaust tipes. But the way they wear makes them look moldy and there's nothing you can do about it.

Wasn't that part of the reason why carmakers stopped doing it? Gold badges on the poverty-spec model look horrible.
