Instead of the new one??? Or why people begin to notice that older cars are much better than newer ones,???
The problem is far deeper than ignorance. It's a modern mindset. The psychology of a disposable world. I'm a car mechanic and I see this every day. I hear: "I have an old car, I'm not sure if it's worth putting money into." And when I see it, it's a 10 year old car with no rust and minor, fixable mechanical issues. I'm regularly maintaining customers' 20+ year old cars. But some people, far too many, are just stuck in that disposable mindset.

i can't blame them, new cars are made to be disposable so people treat them accordingly.

No the point of that video is to show you that its not just cars , every single thing that was structurally and mechanically built to last decades , is being replaced for something that will never be as good as it once was.
>its called planned obsolescence.
Anything not just bridges and infrastructure, but also your microwave.

because they want something that's faster and more comfortable.
that it has minor mechanical problems is just an excuse to get rid of it.

This is a board for adults... everyone knows this. It's common knowledge. Did you just turn 18 and have your eyes opened for the first time? I'm not watching your shitty video.

i know, nearly every appliance in my house is from the 90s or older, doubt we will see 2020s cars still rolling around in africa in the 2060s after being abused harder than a kid in epstein's island

I own a 23 year old budget city car that I always liked, but it has a bit of rust on every single metal body panel, and a lot of (allegedly surface rust) on the bottom
it also has a lot of worn parts (suspension, transmission) that should be replaced/renewed in order to make the car comfortable and reliable again
now getting just the chassis in order could cost anything between a couple thousand and a value of a new-ish car and nobody can really give an exact estimate on this
I have a minimum wage job and getting it in order could take half of my savings or could completely ruin me financially so I just let it sit in a garage and just sit here depressed

They want something shinier and more prestigious.
New cars are not meaningfully faster or more comfortable than older cars.
