they could take most of the same techniques and tricks this car uses and tone them down to get a more practical vehicle, still improve on on the fuel economy of a lot of cars in production.

It's not the 80s anymore even when that prototype got developed.
Modern cars are mandated to have so much fucking shit on them that this number really is low in that context.

>2000lbs
It would've been absolute kino
>0-60 in 5.7s
never mind, it would need to at least be in the 4s with how it looks maybe and what it would inevitably coat. they should've gone for a V4 or supercharged it instead. Unfortunately 2000lbs is pigfat for a bike engined car, they really need to be down under 1400lbs to work properly. Caterham/Lotus7/Locost cars work well with bike engines.

VAG buys out american journos all the time. why do you think people think 911s are good despite the fast ones also being loud on the highway and slower than something cheaper in america you can buy.

VW has no interest in sports cars anymore.
They leave it to Porsche and to a much lesser degree Audi

I love the front of that, the Scirocco too. I wish somebody could make a bodykit in the style for the Golf.

How fast do you expect a 1 ton car with a two cylinder bike engine to be.

It's not that it's slow for what it is, it's that it wouldn't be cheap enough to excuse that slowness in such a flashy package.

i mean a newer Suzuki Swift Sport weighs only like 170lbs more while having four doors and four seats and a four cylinder engine and gearbox and not a lighter bike engine

Bullshit, ND Miata weighs as much as an equivalent NA (when comparing 1.5 ND to 1.6 NA or 2.0 ND to 1.8 NA) despite having air conditioning and power steering as standard and also all of the "mandated shit". Most manufacturers are just lazy.

The 911 is a souped-up Miata for gays who need to pretend to be straight.
H8 the look of it and the concept of it too.

Bro keeping it 100 with you, genuinely I don't appreciate the car, the brand, the owners of the brand, the people who want to own the brand, etc.
In -your- mind and the warped fag minds of anyone glazing these shitheaps up, a small/gay car like a Miata that's been souped up to have even MORE performance is considered a big win.

But you're like trannies, or jeets. Anyone saying "wow this is faggy/retarded" is considered to somehow be jealous of you being an obnoxious and retarded faggot.

Genuinely I like nothing about the car and given one for free, I'd probably just sell it to a porsche paypig.

No need to respond it'll just be cope anyway/

"I can't read" isn't really the post you wanted to make but I'm sure that it seemed like a good idea in your mind (because your IQ is very low)
which explains -why- you like gay cars.

Making a light car isn't about if it's possible. It's about if a manufacturer is willing to put in the effort.
