Commuting is boring so I spice things up by going into spiral highway ramps without braking. 95% of the time this is uneventful and nothing especially interesting happens but sometimes I've got a tailgater or someone who was doing 20+ over the limit coming up rapidly behind me. These two types of drivers assume that whoever is in front of them is driving too slowly so when I go into a 40kph spiral ramp at 80kph they're almost never ready for it. Screeching rubber and clouds of tyre smoke rising up in the rear view mirror sometimes ensue and that's how I entertain myself on my commute.

Why do people get so petrified by turns?

some cars handle like boats
those same cars when doing turns at higher speeds feel like theyre gonna flip, lose control, understeer, etc
people get scared

what's crazier to me are the truggers in lifted truggs with presumably max .3g on a skidpad who still try to tailgate me in a cloverleaf. usually i'm like "oh, we're doing this?" and dust em but it's like they have zero understanding of their car's actual capability. (these are the same people who don't increase following distance in the pouring rain)

well. you may not have known I could do that without my brake lights coming on but at least you won't learn anything and will do it again

Women. They're using you as a pilot car while they've got their nose buried in their phone.

Even without the phone younger women always want to go 20+ over everywhere until there's a slight curve and then panic. Then they turn 27 and never go over the speed limit again but still panic at the slightest curve.

>These two types of drivers assume that whoever is in front of them is driving too slowly so when I go into a 40kph spiral ramp at 80kph they're almost never ready for it.

what's the deal with those people?

>long stretch of highway
>driving fast but aware there might be speed traps (~10 over speed limit in fast lane, passing slower cars)
>tailgater pretends this isn't fast enough and rides my ass
>"okay", pull over and slow down so he can speed ahead
>huge, infinite stretch of highway in front of him to go as fast as he wants
>he pussies out and gets into the slow lane, but in front of me going the same speed

this is almost as common as people who actually do want to speed, I don't get it. do babydicks just not like someone in front of them? is it a monkey brain thing? can any tailgaters explain? your psychology is foreign to me.

Always fun to put some distance on them purely because my car can take a turn at speed. They usually get the hint and btfo

If not I just slow down to the speed limit and ignore em

State Police issued a statement sometime in the last couple years that some tailgaters are trying to get the one in front to speed so that they get caught speeding instead of the tailgater. That would explain why they don't go fast once you let them by.

Anon they buy the shittest cheap tires, even if a name brand, or are even running their entire lives on $25 used tire specials. They drive like maniacs, in a straight line, but they can't take any kind of turn.

We always had spare rims with used tires, for doing burnouts and donuts.
