American HERITAGE and SPIRIT, can I get a HYB???
I've got a love-hate relationship with these bikes, I've ridden a few into the ground. Fucking sucks to work on sometimes, but once dailed in, they just work so good. I'm on my first fuel injected one - stick with the carbs, FI is overrated. I miss mine. You can run Mean Streak parts, but the Mean Streak is objectively gayer then my handlebar tassels. If yours is a pre-2000 which the one I had in that paintjob was, make sure you have a metal instead of a plastic oil pump gear under the clutch housing, I'm rebuilding a '96 motor now when it decided to pull that cute stunt. I want another carbed model, but these are such rock-steady machines. Riding mine to Vegas next week, and Sturgis the week after; cam chain tensioners done and all fluids swapped, just gonna feed it 87 and 10-40w until it reverts back to aluminum shavings.
