Isn't that thing based on a PHEV executive car?
I think they had to do that to manage the 4.4 L V8's emissions penalties. PHEVs with just enough range to complete tests before the battery runs out are practically a cheat code for low emissions tax in some countries.
Anyways, with the 4.4 L twin-turbo, the PHEV drivetrain and all the other crap, the thing ended up so heavy it might be slightly slower than its predecessor.
