i think that because korea's infrastructure is dense and urban, what were once convenient car ergonomics in a luxury trim come standard in the base model. the driving experience in korea is pretty optimized in general. they adopted taxis early, have giant rest stops with a food court, and have led indicated parking availability in parking garages. it's really cool, and i think americans are just willfully ignorant because we want things to be simpler. i don't think that's a bad thing, but the world is changing regardless of what we want. i think all we can do is be aware of the changes around us, and continue to seek to cultivate our love for the things we love rather than gritting our teeth and digging our heels in because change is an inevitable part of life.
