I absolutely dog walked one of these on the highway a couple months ago. I mean from 60mph-150mph I was dogging him every step of the way. Literally fluttering the accelerator playing with him, pulling off then letting go while he’s WOT barely accelerating at 120mph. At no point was it even competitive.

I honestly felt for the guy, the car was clearly brand new, on paper he should have been leaving me in the dust. I was really excited when I first saw it. Twin turbo, v6, 2+2, and he’s getting dusted by a $9k salvage title Focus ST with a few simple mods. Fucking Nissan, I swear. I don’t know what the deal is with these things. They’re not even all that heavy.

I will say they are extremely good looking cars. But for the price, and then they’ve got 2 turbos (to break), and it’s still fucking slow??? Shame they fumbled the ball so bad, because it honestly does look great.

I was tempted by a yellow proto at a stealership once but the 67k price tag (with 7k miles on it) was a hard sell. They listed it as new even though it clearly wasnt. Glad they went out of business.

My stealership has sold a couple. Two of them were to people age 50+. I like some of the details on them, but I don't see an advantage over a Z34 or anything older. They even added parking sensors to a tiny sports car.

I don't have a PROTO yellow. It's a 2024 Yellow Performance 6MT. I prefer the red calipers but would love yellow accents on the stitching and seats like in the Proto.

Bought it for 62K Leaf Bucks out the door (with taxes). That's like...40k USD? Nissan had a massive sale at the beginning of this year. Otherwise I would not have bought it for the price.
