If "Cash for Clunkers" happened again, which cars are going to go through a genocide?

Cash for clunkers is the equivalent of the holocaust for car enthusiasts
The number of cars killed was relatively small and only useless cars were killed, so stop being professional victims about it 20 years later

Primarily cars with Big Altima Energy. You won't miss them.

They'll never let it go, because their car preferences are stuck in a time capsule and the ravages of time will do more to get rid of their favorite automotive era than a paid crushing program.

It would destroy lots of useful, reliable, fun to drive small or midsize cars. Then these would be replaced with large size, heavy, planned obsolescence SUV's, pick up trucks that are all filled touchsreens, annoying ADAS systems.

There's not a lot of small cars in general due to their poor sales stats in the US. Drivers typically will not buy them unless they have to.

Small cars still outnumber large cars in the US because most people drive cars that are 10-20 years old.

Car enthusiasts just can't accept that what actually killed their cars are influencers, cell phones, Facebook Marketplace, and time/attrition (car accidents, rust, retarded owners). Not enough hatred goes towards YouTubers shilling people on the "latest used car must buy" or how you can make money from home "flipping cars".
