ACC has more in-depth tuning and a better track roster, though.

People are still buttmad they canโ€™t exploit shitty vanilla rf2 tires.
The big complaint I have right now is that some cars need an extra lap to get their tires in the right temperature so it disadvantages them on short qualifying sessions and races.

im sort of fitting in it, but i have to use it out for a few hours straight before i can decide if its big enough.
Every time im sitting down, i need to grab my balls and lift them up, so they dont get squeezed between my legs - so yeah, its a pretty tight fit
The seat is very comfortable otherwise, i got an extra thick โ€œoff-road cushionโ€, and a small lumbar support cushion - it will be a shame to send it all back.
From what i have read online, bucketseats are supposed to be tight, so its hard to judge right now

another 3,5 hours went by, but i need another day to finish connecting it all together and do some cable-management
spent half of that time trying to get the โ€œclutch wireโ€ do its thing - its design is fundamentally flawed, and i have to fix that shit once in a while when it gets stuck
its nice when its working but not really worth the hustle
usually i dont mind some DIY - its a fun part of the hobby for me, but only when im executing my own project, instead of trying to fix failures of design in manufactured products
pretty sure i will have issues with connections and drivers - that shit always takes hours to fix and calibrate
hopefully i can actually do some laps by the end of the weekend!

Loved The Crew, felt like TC2 was a downgrade in most aspects yet still decent, and Motorfest just feels like a lame Forza Horizon wannabe. I've tried to get into it a few times, and the gigantic floating balloons and "festival" stuff that is placed unavoidable around the entire map just pulls me right out of the game. The story races with voiceovers are also incredibly cringe (the "JDM" themed one is incredibly awful).
I wish most of that festival shit could be turned off or at least toned down so it can feel like an actual, modern Test Drive Unlimited instead.

That's probably the better way to do it, especially considering that your entire garage from TC2 transfers over to Motorfest, so if/when you actually enjoy it and want more, you can pick up that game and basically play it almost as a big DLC for TC2 (which it kind of is, anyway)

2's unique selling point is the gigantic map, which is cool to explore but doesn't have all that much to do in it. Even though there's actually quite a few events now, you'll probably get bored of those pretty quickly once you start actually having to grind in order to level up your shit.
Motorfest is store-brand Forza Horizon, but like one of the good ones, like 2 or 3. Smaller map, more details, more collectibles that you can only find by driving around, and you can replay every event with (almost) every vehicle after you've completed a "playlist", which is a bit of a double-edged sword.

Handling on the whole is more nuanced in Motorfest, everything in 2 drives like a time attack monster with crazy downforce.
Boats and planes were massively downgraded in Motorfest, and they removed jetsprint, the best water discipline in 2.
Motorfest's grand races are an unironically great addition, throwing 28 players into a lobby and setting them loose on a 3-stage course is a recipe for funny mayhem. Balancing is about as garbage as 2, it's just different cars that take the stupidly OP roles.

I mainly play Motorfest nowadays because I've got just about everything in 2, I just check the Summit rewards from time to time because they're still dropping new cosmetics occasionally and they're free as fuck nowadays.
If you do decide to pick Motorfest up in a future sale, you get to port all your vehicles and cosmetics over from 2 (but not their liveries, reee).

t. 1250h in 2 and 320h in Motorfest

take a drift car to the monster truck arena halfpipe and just do this for like 30 minutes or an hour and you'll have more icon level than god
the jump-drift cycle prevents the driving feat bonuses from maxing out and there isn't anything to hit to reset the multiplier, so you just make insane amounts of xp in a very short time.

like really fucking awful, almost offensive weeaboo voice actors pretending to be japanese with some of the most shallow and bland characterization imaginable. Nearly every line is pure cringe. the only saving grace is you only have to put up with it like once.

also it should be noted: you can play TC2 with English text and Japanese voiceovers which is very fun and reduces the cringe level significantly, but you cannot play Motorfest in Japanese, thus the only way to avoid the cringe is to turn the voiceovers completely off. On the other hand, the voiceovers are so pointless this does not affect the game at all, since unlike TC1 or TC2 there is no story to the game or complicated missions that require any more explanation than "go here",

Even an "old" current-gen GT3 car has a huge amount of front area dedicated to ducting. They pretty much all have aero trickery going on to negate the drag created by their tires, as well, which the SLS does not have.

The AMG GT3 Evo isn't an SLS GT3. The SLS GT3 last competed in top-flight endurance racing around 2014.
Please stop acting like a snide cunt just because the car you like got replaced due to rule changes and stiffer competition. The SLS is old, outdated, and if it went up against a AMG GT3 Evo it would be miles off pace.
Also, gullwing doors are banned because they preclude a roof escape hatch.

it's ugly
it is a hideously, gut-wrenchingly ugly car with a gaping fish maw and bulbous, stung-by-a-bee proportions designed exclusively to appeal to the tasteless chinese and indian people Daimler management has been trying to court for over a decade now.
Not a single good-looking car has come from Germany in years. The instant Audi started doing BIG GRIRR in late '00s they all had to do it. Now Audi looks nice-ish and the other two are fucking disgusting.

Increase the rev limit to peak+500 rpm (or more), check the performance index number to find how much - it's the one that's 351.8 currently (it's below the rev limit stat). You can go from 8900 to 9000/9100 with minor reliability penalty.

NTA but yes, get an R9V3 or an R12V2. Allow me to get ahead of our local ThrustAutist and warn you that Moza's support for older games is not as good, so that Happy Meal racing game from 1998 might not work with it (it probably does). It works perfectly for Dirt Rally 2.0 and Assetto Corsa, so it should be enough for any man of elevated tastes.

im 191 cm and 107 kg - the size of the rig itself is fine, there is more than enough length for my legs, so i wouldnt worry about it ( i have to slide in about 10-15 cm to get in the right position )
as to the bucketseat - its tight
if you have some fat on the sides/hips, you will probably be better off getting a recliner seat
the aluminium construction itself is rock-solid, feels as if the seat is mounted to the floor - not a slightest vibration or movement
it my first full-sized aluminium rig, so there might be better options out there, but i have read a good number of reviews, and this particular rig ( sim lab p1x ultimate ) is supposed to be one of the best

ive only used logitech g25 and fanatec โ€œbasic pedalsโ€, so its hard for me to say how they compare to pedals of similar price
pedals are made of solid materials, very sturdy, with a very distinct feel to each pedal when pressing
yet they are clearly not made for mass-consumers in mind
if you check their homepage, its clear they are orientated towards organizations and enthusiast-level customers
if you buy their products, be prepared to spend time adjusting, tinkering, braking apart, greasing, etc
with the japanese currency being so weak these days, you might end up paying less for a similar product, but its not a exactly a plug-and-play experience
they dont provide any form of software or drivers, its all raw inputs
once adjusted and working, its a joy to use - feels like using something โ€œsolid and realโ€, not just another plastic toy
in the end, i would only recommend these pedals if you enjoy the hardware part of the hobby, and if you are only interested in the gaming/racing itself - stay away from frex, or you are going to have a bad time

Extremely so, though I have an obsession with making engines rather than complete cars, though I also quite like making multiple trims of a single model, rather than multiple different cars. Either start with a complete shitbox and find a way to make to make a competitive sports trim, or start with a full blown race car and try to homologate it. It's also extremely fun when you (and ideally your friends, assuming you have them) set yourself limitations. Budget constraints, displacement, cylinder count, service costs, literally anything than can limit your choices and force you to be more creative to stand out.

If i remember correctly, the TH8A used to work just fine via USB when connected to a ps3 or ps4, but it had to be used with a TM wheel or it didnt work. They changed something around on the ps5 to where you needed to connect it to the wheelbase instead.

Doesn't matter, it's still retarded design. Fagnatec shifter works on PC both when connected to the wheelbase and through USB. And the retard's argument "it is a seperate device with its own drivers" is retarded, because Turdmaster's pedals can also be used separately without a wheel.
Also no reason for Buttthrustmaster to not have a single software with drivers, calibration and firmware updater for all of their racism gear instead of everything being separate with 2003-ass UI.

because there is an extra ffb rotation stop that feels nicer and much more realistic than banging it off the physical limiter, it springs back the other way as opposed to hitting a plastic wall, improving the steering response when drifting.

yeah, when you have the suspension all dialed in and the car is familiar, it's nice to have more sensitive steering, but i will also still bring it down to 540 or 720 sometimes if i just want to chillax and not have to sweat so much. its easier to feel the car with lower steering lock. also, if the wheel is kind of slow like a g-series, high steering lock is tough to handle. i wouldn't recommend anything more than 540 without an h-shifter and 720 degrees max for anything less than a t300. t300s are just barely fast enough to do 1080 imo.
with a little bit of padding at the end of the rotation you can do things like, at max angle, pulling the wheel slightly into the electronic stop and then letting go of it, causing it to fling back the other way as if spring-propelled, faster than the ffb itself could have spun it, and without you having to force it. plus you don't get the plastic clunk of the physical stop or the torsional force on the wheel, which might not be an issue for rig users as it is for desk clamp chads or playseat enjoyers with less sturdy mounting solutions.

tl;dr: you don't have to use all the steering lock nor should you

I sort of figured I needed to have some RPM slack, but I didn't want to push the RPM reliability index. Overall though outside of that I feel like the engine's got great potential, good reliability, lots of power, compact, fairly good smoothness for a V6 so not too vibrate-y. Just has god awful MPG.

Nothing groundbreaking. Cycle through a few different races for your grind. I did WTC800 @ Spa, WTC700 @ Le Mans, and WTC800 @ Sardegna. If you're still in need of some of the cars from the legendary dealership, make sure you have a minimum balance that covers the most expensive car you need. That way you can just hop on and buy it if you're too busy to make up the difference before it cycles out. Finally, once I had all the legends and used cars purchased, I built up my balance so that I could buy the missing cars from a whole country at a time, starting with American cars, then progressing through Europe and then Korea and Japan. Kept me from going to either extreme of grinding away to a huge balance with no progress toward the goal, or whittling away at the goal one race at a time.
