Could Ford actually squeeze even MORE time out of this thing to beat the C8's mediocre times?

Why would they need to? Every single GTD produced will sell exactly for whatever price Ford wants.
These aren't regular cars that sort of sit on the lot and the dealership knocks off a couple grand if they've been there too long.

funny thing is if you watch the c8 laps they're fucking sloppy, any proper racing driver could get it under 6:45 easy wouldn't be surprised to see closer to 6:40

I remember Ford tried to get the GT500 to beat out the older ZL1s lap. They couldn't do the whole lap without overheating so they attempted to post sector times and add them all up for a lap.
