Nigga, Max was literally given his first championship because the F1 head at the time started making up his own rules and he got fired for it. The next year RBR was caught cheating and only got a slap on the wrist. 2023 he was carried by the literally the winningest car in F1 history and RB won WCC by scoring over twice as many points as the second place team. The next year, Perez got appendicitis and was no longer there or willing to play defense for Max while McLaren was able to build a halfway decent car that could challenge RBR, but only after the opening rounds which was mediocre enough to destroy Lando's bid by the last few races. Also, RBR was the team that most benefited from the engine development freeze since it bought them time after Honda reduced their role and re-branded the engines as RBPT. Max basically won all 4 championships with the same engine he's had since 2021.

This year, Max no longer has the best car on the grid. He accumulated so many points on his FIA license that he can no longer drive like a psycho so he can't risk making his famous asshat moves to win races/championships anymore. He's now in a position where he has to work to get wins, but after several years of being in the cushiest car, he got soft. He got exposed and is no longer even trying. You can tell that he has mentally checked out this season and just phoning it in every weekend now. All the drama about him leaving RB after this year and then choosing to stay is only evidence that no other team is really willing to put up with an overpaid diva. He's now hoping that RBR can come out on top with the best car again after the scramble of the 2026 tech regs.
