I havnt been in the RS3 but I’ve owned the previous 3 generations of Audi and the B8s were very good and are still good. The B9 was a step down in quality with brittle thin plastic everywhere
The B10 and equivalent are even cheaper and the design is very ugly. Idk why someone at Audi decided the cars needed empty space and plastic everywhere with a lot of edgy angles. Look at the passenger dash. That’s all brittle thin creaky flexible plastic. Even the door handle is fragile loose plastic. It’s sort of pathetic. The whole door sill flexes and moves when you open it.
Very bad. Also they used to have a center console that was part arm rest and the gear shift lever was a hand rest and there was a knob and track pad to operate the infotainment.
Now there is a giant massive empty space for the center console and the screen is at the top of the dash which means you have to lift your arm and move it across a foot long space to operate the touchscreen which now hides most functions deep in menus that require swiping. It’s like doing a workout that REQUIRES eyes on the screen to input commands and then search for the next button and then requires movements in a huge space to get to the next one. Typing is a nightmare. It’s a real chore and kind of dangerous.
On the old model you just rest your arm in a comfortable place and your hand in a comfy place and you could call your wife in literally a flick of the writer and two clicks. It took a second.
These auto manufacturers don’t even use their own products. I can’t express to you how fucking bad this shit is. They made everything cheaper, more dangerous, and literally a tedious exhausting chore to do in the car when it was actually very easy to operate before.
I will say they didn’t cheap out on the actual materials of the chassis. except the iron 4 cyl.
