I did try to get an electric motorcycle on Facebook Market place but it just ended in me getting scammed and losing ~1.5Kโ‚ฌ, which I'm still missing.

I did report the seller to the police (had to go to three police stations because "We can't help you since you don't speak Portuguese" and a few months ago I got a letter from the police asking if I've gotten my money back and if I want them to keep searching for the scammer...

The fuckers wanted $900 dollars to get it out of pound, plus and additional $150 to get it back home. That was my only ride and lost a lot of money for that.

I'm glad I at least got the bike out of LA. When I showed up at the hospital they were surprised that the police allowed me to take the stuff off the bike and didn't take it immediately.

>"Wow! You got your stuff!"
>"Haha yeah..."

I looked up the impound and they had 1 star and the reviews all say how they steal shit and how they try real hard for you to not get your vic back. Evil place.

What's worse is that I'v met a former cop in my stay in Florida and said that the Cops and impounds do in fact work together for the money.

I'm talking 1 business with 40 different names and 1 lot that will stack charges the longer the vehicles sits while they delay the process so it sits for weeks.

They're not needed outside of major cities, hell, they primarily thrive because space is a premium in the city. In the city, there's also scumbags that park anywhere, sometimes blocking traffic causing gridlock which blocks emergency vehicles so there's a need for tow trucks but the first hook system also promoted tow trucks into being scumbags too. It's a dilemma

Just bought a 2019 XSR900
It's quick, precise, and kinda? nimble.

I enjoy the height and weight to power ratio and also not having a bunch of flashy plastics and numbers across it. The acceleration is what I appreciate more than the top speed since I do a lot of city riding.

Btw coming from a tuned Tw200 that I drove for the past year and half.

Things I don't like;

-Suspension feels soft for higher speed with abnormal road conditions. (bumps, potholes, refinished tarmac vs old tarmac)
-There is no neutral or center throttle. I'm constantly accelerating or decelerating.
-I like women with big butts and the pillion seat is the size of a dinner plate.

That's why you study your task using factory manuals in conjunction with exploded views from the factory parts catalog or online suppliers.
You can determine if a problem is practical for you to address using that knowledge then choose accordingly.

How precisely were you scammed? You can hand over cash inside a local bank in person and have any title etc notarized on the spot.

Never just spontaneously "do" anything important. Plan thoroughly after sufficient research.
If you're going to stay crazy then be mentally ill to your own advantage, not that of others. Worry about being thorough enough. (OCD is a good quality in a machinist if you'd like a career where you can get in the zone and be paid for it.)

The one-way overrunning clutch does not remain engaged at all RPM ranges because engagement is conditional on the relative rotational speed of the drive and driven portions of the overrunning clutch.

The layout is often convenient because it's narrow and the allowable large outside clutch diameter permits a large, robust starter clutch. They're amply robust but when one does wear and slip or a starter chain wears and breaks they're more work to replace. I don't consider that an important issue because failures are not very common.

Many stock suspensions are soft but being a 2019 with most owners never replacing fork oil I'd do that first.

XSR900 is also referred to as MTM850, worth keeping in mind when hunting info of which there is plenty on forums.

I want to move to the country, however that means I lose access to any sort of winding road for hundreds of kilometres. Its a hard decision as instead I get plentiful dirt and sandy trails as compensation which means an entirely new set of skills to learn and trading my street bikes for something entirely different.
