At least the cruise control is still on its own stalk in Audis (and some Skodas, I think).

It's only for the cars with the DCT (286 hp), in the manuals (276 hp) the red button is to turn on/off auto rev matching
The more annoying "feature" is octane learning where the car can take 87 octane but you need to drive it 70+ mph on the highway in top gear or do short pulls in 4th gear for 5 minutes to "learn" that you're using premium fuel
normally the cars dyno at like 240 or so to the wheels (makes sense with 276/286 hp advertised), and when octane learned they dyno around 270-280 to the wheels and the turbo boosts to 20 psi instead of 15 psi
octane learning resets EVERY FUCKING FILLUP so you lose max power/boost pressure whenever you put gas in the small 12 gal tank
so retarded but i've done a quick 60-130 mph pull and after getting gas once and it was octane learned after that so that's gonna be my new method
fucking retarded they didn't just make premium fuel mandatory
my only gripe with an otherwise awesome car

which is the dumbest shit ever because when you're running it in Custom 1/2 mode, as opposed to Nig-mode, pressing it will just beep at you that you can't change rev match in custom mode
they were clearly out of ideas when it came to the purpose of the funky red button in the manual versions
