it has been a rough year for me. A lot of life changing events. Now that things have settled, I have time to post again.
I've never posted vids on YouTube, but a couple of my exploring buddies do. To me it is more work than it is worth.

I grew up in a mining town. My Dad, Grandpa and so on were all miners. I love the history. The booms and busts of these places. I love seeing what these guys were able to achieve over 100 years ago.

I'm ok with that, but I doubt it. It doesn't even make the top 5 ways I'll probably die. A few of my guesses would be...

1. Heart attack
2. Car accident
3. Auto erotic asphyxiation
4. Stroke
5. Suicide
6. Cancer

gravity can be a real son of a bitch. I don't use a 3-gas detector due to cost and need for calibration, but I do often have an o2 monitor just in case. Also, these are heavy metal mines less chance of bad air and I am mindful of pyrite for that same reason.

Can you make money looting minerals or abandoned equipment?

not enough that it would be worth the effort. Equipment would just be scrap steal and very difficult to get. The miners removed all ore that had any real value. Any ore they left behind is low grade and not worth the work it would take to extract and process.

I appreciate all the concern. I DO NOT encourage anyone to do this. it is unforgiving to the point that one mistake in the wrong place could get you or someone you are with hurt or killed. I'm only posting this stuff to show the history.
