>>2823528I did one trail where theoretically you need a permit to hike the trail and the permit is either given online 14 days minimum in advance (you fill out a range of dates it can be issued for a full week or something I think), or you have to go to two state park offices only open limited hours to get it. As I understand, many people hike without the permit, BUT, at a minimum it did keep graffiti off the overlook, which is nice though I don't really care much about that, but I wish they could trim the brush and maybe even add a railing cuz it's one of those where the very best photo is kinda blocked by trees and requires you to be on the very edge of a narrow rock cliff with nothing but sky for hundreds of fight beyond.
