Can someone identify this knife for me that I found in A hidden compartment on the truck I just bought. It seems kinda cheap but Iโ€™ve been using it for a lot of stupid random shit like opening bottles and batony chop chop. Itโ€™s held up very well under the punishment and Iโ€™m gonna keep it in my truck for emergency use. My eyes are really bad so I canโ€™t read the words under the eagle, even when I magnify it.

Looks like a CRKT M16 from the lines, but could be a copy, too.

OP's eyesight must be really terrible.
I browse the web with a 150% zoom on the browser and I was able to read the text.

Looks good.

I thinned mine down behind the edge to make it a flat grind for better slicing. The factory grind was horrible, now it's actually pretty slicy and that's good.

All that grinding down to get the same kind of performance that I'd get from an Ontario Rat 1, next time I'll just get the Rat 1.

That is fine as long as you don't try to use that, it's paki unhardened pot steel, basically useless, it will not hold an edge.

Damn, are those Trapperlocks all discontinued? I'd love one of those, I have a couple of Cases and really like them but the lack of clip and one hand opening limits how often I carry them.
