Live in my sisters backyard in a bare bones room. So it's basically an /out/ experience. It's getting cold now (2'C) on some mornings/nights.

What are some ways to keep warm? Besides layering up. What are some gear to supplement my bed stuff to keep warm and undisturbed at night.

Also if I keep pissing in the same spot outside (along the fence or a plant, basically seeping into the dirt/ground/grass) will it stink up that area

>What are some ways to keep warm? Besides layering up.
get a window insulation kit and wrap up the windows, get a draft guard for under the door, rug on floor, quilts hanging around cold spots like doors and windows to keep the cold out, etc.

>What are some gear to supplement my bed stuff to keep warm and undisturbed at night.
butane or rechargeable hand warmers, hot water bottles under shirt/blanket.

>Also if I keep pissing in the same spot outside (along the fence or a plant, basically seeping into the dirt/ground/grass) will it stink up that area
yes, dig a hole and piss in it if you are worried about smell. you can cover the hole once it begins to stink.

Insulate floor. 1 rug minimum, more layers better.

Ever considered that if you get pruned on a board as slow as this, there might be a reason for it?

Why not just tarp the floor or insulate it with visqueen at that point.

Fully carpeted? Or just carpet hastily laid over the floor?

Could activated charcoal or baking soda help with urine odor control? i bet if you have like 6 bucks you could go to a pet store and get some enzymatic dog uring spray and it would probably work great aince dog piss stinks way more than human piss. Drinking lots of water and staying very well hydrated would also help with odor by diluting the odorants, right?

Pajamas, whatever is comfortable for you, but pajamas of some kind. I always wondered as a kid why everybody wore pajamas in historical movies and books, but now I know.
Also, if possible layer a top sheet, wool blanket, and down comforter for your bedding. Wool + down is the warmest combo I have found.

What I do when its winter is make a very very small "fort" of blankets, like one would do as a child. Since I have electricity my PC running makes it more than warm enough. Also I bought a 350$ sleeping bag thats like -30 or some shit. If push comes to shove I will make pic related. Also from walmart you can get foam camping pads, on just a wood floor I place two then the sleeping bag
Even with just the layers of blankets around you normal body temp will make the fort warm

I lived in a car for 3 years in Colorado (2 winters) - my move in deep January was to make a blanket tent to trap the heat all night - get a decent wool blanket and hang it a foot or so above your head, let it drape downward like a lean-to and it'll do wonders anon

Any ms paint diagrams. But yes I do have easy access to wool blankets and the likes (sometimes volunteer at a thrift store so try to get first pickings at supplies I need)

Can't beat a thick wool army blanket, it's basically my only piece of winter sleeping gear. I sleep naked and I'm warm enough in winter. Just ensure you have other layers to keep the wool from scratching and itching your skin.

The human bladder has on average a certain capacity.
So if you only piss once, you won't go much beyond it.
A gallon jug with a wide mouth is great for at least a couple day cycles worth of pissing.

Yeah usually piss around one last time before going to actual bed. I pee in the main house around 8-9pm before I retire to the backyard cabin

Yeah I probably could but the bed is pretty comfy now that I have a few more wool blankets on top of the doona. And it's kind of nice having fewer things now

Tbh living in this little box is pretty cosy and feels like low key camping

If you have electricity a small heater will keep you toasty. If not, get a propane heater, but it might start getting expensive depending on how much you run it.
