I found a small abandoned brick hut in the local small mountain. no doors, no windows, and inside was completely empty. the inner walls had some scribbles written in Chinese, and outer walls had a Korean poem. When I was looking around, suddenly a loud Chinese song played which freaked me out, but turns out the song was coming from another hiker nearby(the hut was only a couple meters away from track). old people here love to blast songs from their shitty portable audio players while hiking. so the dude just passed by, nothing happened to me and I just moved on, but I still wonder what the Chinese scribbles mean or what the brick hut was for.

Last week I had my first instance of sleep paralysis at my mountaintop fire and rescue station. I dreamed my pager went off on a UTV rollover and I couldn't move for what felt like 30 minutes. The whole time I'm wondering why my coworker isn't busting down my door to wake me up, so then I start thinking we both got poisoned with nerve gas and we were both gonna die.
Woke up the next morning for shift change and went home. It was a pretty gay event.
