They probably determined that you need more buoyancy there and enlargened the ass because of your ass.

No clear indication of how small it is when folded, website tries to make it hard, images are all inflated versions or pics with no scale.
This product no longer exists to me

From what i can tell stikine just takes a generic chinese raft, slaps their brand on it and sells it to canadians. Alpacka is the only brand actually making their own in NA.

I don't really like inflatables myself. I am fine with anything cartoppable. Or maybe bicycle trailering a boat could be fun too.

There are some public lakes near me that I've fancied exploring. Thought of getting an Alpacka Raft. But the Scout model is still $775. That's absurd. But the idea of bicycling to a lake and packrafting around sounds like really good fun.

The point of a packraft is to pack it. It is not a substitute for other types of boats. It is something you can pack up and put in a back while going on a backpacking trip.

Nowadays people do use whitewater packrafts for day trips to run things. They are fun whitewater boats and the top ones are at the same level as the top whitewater kayaks. But inflatables make it way easier to do unexpected portages or if you have to hike out for some reason. You can also fit more people and watercraft per vehicle with packrafts.
