Lord help me, i just spent 1100 dollars on this packraft.
>>2821721 (OP)I was gonna mock you for getting scammed but I looked that up and it's actually kinda cool
>>2821722I also paid in canuckistan dollars for conversion reference.
>>2821721 (OP)Whybdoes it have such a big fat ass? Or is that a trick of the camera?
>>2821885They probably determined that you need more buoyancy there and enlargened the ass because of your ass.
>>2821721 (OP)No clear indication of how small it is when folded, website tries to make it hard, images are all inflated versions or pics with no scale.
This product no longer exists to me
i was in my local hunting/fishing/camping store, they still had one display model for sale, through conversation i explained that i already had two canoes, so bo need, still tried to sell it to me lmao
>>2821895I found this image off the sellers sight, this model is now discountinued and have a new one that is lighter at 10lbs with 500d PVC as opposed to the older 13lbs with 1000d PVC.

Next time, instead of buying the chinesium of packrafts, get an american made alpacka
>>2821940being canadian, maybe i should have got a stikine
>>2821951Can you get a new PM instead?
>>2821951From what i can tell stikine just takes a generic chinese raft, slaps their brand on it and sells it to canadians. Alpacka is the only brand actually making their own in NA.
>>2821955What, you don't like the central banker?
>>2821998Makes sense, i don't see anywhere on their site repping "proudly made in Canada".

I don't really like inflatables myself. I am fine with anything cartoppable. Or maybe bicycle trailering a boat could be fun too.
>>2821721 (OP)There are some public lakes near me that I've fancied exploring. Thought of getting an Alpacka Raft. But the Scout model is still $775. That's absurd. But the idea of bicycling to a lake and packrafting around sounds like really good fun.
>>2821896>>2822250The point of a packraft is to pack it. It is not a substitute for other types of boats. It is something you can pack up and put in a back while going on a backpacking trip.
>>2822339Nowadays people do use whitewater packrafts for day trips to run things. They are fun whitewater boats and the top ones are at the same level as the top whitewater kayaks. But inflatables make it way easier to do unexpected portages or if you have to hike out for some reason. You can also fit more people and watercraft per vehicle with packrafts.
