>>2823495Btw you'll want some rope, parachord works well. A canvas meat bag ideally, but ziplock bags work if its not 30 degrees celcius out. If you are going to hang it, an old single duvet cover is pefect for keeping flys off deer. I have no experience with cows ot moose or any big critters like that btw. You need a sharp knife (duh) and stone or steel too, itll go blunt if its not some fancy modern steel.
You'll want to cut the legs off now, 1 front leg will likely be fucked if you shot through it, so try not to shoot through it but often you have no choice. Front legs are easy to remove just cut behind the shoulder blades where it atatches to the ribcage. The back legs are harder and will require you to get into the ball joint at the pelvice with the tip of your knife and you also have to twist it to get it to break out. You'll find all this makes sense once you do it, because it is as deeply rooted in your DNA as having sex.
If im carrying a long way i normally cut the bones out of the legs, thats easy as. Otherwise you can cut the at the knee joint, twist the lower leg off and toss it away.
You can also make a backpack out of the animal by tyeing the front and back legs together to carry the whole thing out if you're a hardcunt. Use rope or there is a trick where you can cut a hole inbetween the tendon and the bone of the back leg and the put thd front legs through the hole and cut the knee but leave the skin at the back. Its hard to explain it but you'll figure it out.
Btw I like to leave the skin on for cutting meat and carrying it out.
