For me? It’s less /out/ and more tract home developments.

>have unveiled their own poisonous version of the bill
>The provision in question mandates the disposal of between 2 million and 3 million acres of lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service
How does 2-3M Acres turn into 250M Acres? Anyway, this won't pass. more FUD

Anons might notice no lands in montana are included. Thats because Zinke, rep of montana, had previously ended similar legislation saying his hard line is any wholesale selling of public land. This current land sale proposal comes from mike lee, rep of utah. Interesting vastly different priorities even among gop reps in these states

Utah also has been trying to buy back their federal land for like a decade now and seething the entire time since they have no legal way to do it.

Arizona had a ballot measure a few years ago that would have seized all Federal land in the state including the Grand Canyon. It only got like 35% support but that's still a lot of based voters.

250M acres are eligible to be sold
2-3M of those acres must be sold to comply with the law

Why did the GOP have to abandon conservation and give libtards free rein on environmental issues? I’m pretty far right but care deeply about what Teddy Roosevelt started

Mormons want to buy the public land so they actually own it instead of just in practice

It was a bogus ballot. At the end of the day they can't seize the land. They will get cockblocked just like Utah has been and the feds won't allow it without congress approval.

Hopefully we develop a method for pulling up this land so we can send it to Israel directly.

so where do I buy? I have cash. Or is it for rich oligarchs only and average people will have no chance of buying any of it?

It has to be sold to a housing developer, the point of the land sale is to attempt to address the housing shortage. But there is nothing in the bill that specifies what kind of housing or anything, which means it will just be luxury developers building mcmansions because that is way more profitable than actual housing for people

There is no housing shortage in those areas and even if there was there's nobody and no infrastructure there to support them, the housing shortage is in towns and cities that already exist with building codes that prevent apartments being built because that would ruin the skyline view of the rich boomers in the 10 story retirement home on the hill. Nobody is building houses because the cost of land is through the roof because of investment companies and etc. They want this far off land so they can have the mineral rights to it.

because republicans have no morals.
they're not conservative anymore, they're the party of selling out anything and everything they can and enriching themselves as much as possible.

you need to realize that the social issues that (i assume) are why you are repub and hate democrats are all theater and distractions. they use that stuff to trick you into voting the way they want you to. what matters is the money.

like with immigration - Trump's making a big show right now that he hates immigrants and he wants them gone. is he actually getting rid of more of them? no. do republicans ever prosecute the business owners who are importing the immigrants? fuck no. both sides know we need immigrants to keep this house of cards from falling down. 1 side pretends to hate them, and 1 side doesn't. they both want the same thing.

do trannies matter? they're like .01% of the population. there's a different distraction all the time to keep people pissed off and hating the other side. they have to keep us divided, because if we're not worried about left and right, we're worried about up and down. they wouldn't be able to rob us blind.

>he hasn't realized that the big two are just coalitions of voting blocks with competing and often contradictory interests who masquerade as parties for tax purposes
This has been the case since the Civil War basically, but people don't realize it and still think everybody on each side are all a part of the same monolithic entity.
