you'll get a lot of them wearing shorts. you'll still get them if you're wearing pants. either way, take a shower within a day of hiking and pull them off. as long as you get them off you within a couple of weeks, you'll be fine. even if you don't get them off you and you would happen to get-

Not everyone is as smart or as kind as you. That and people aren't rational when they are scared. Your wisdom calms us greatly.

Yes
>Or will I die from deer ticks?
No, but you probably will get one on you and get Lyme if you don't remove it. Lyme won't kill you though, but if you end up having to take the meds expect to be very low energy for like 4-6 months

I would recommend grabbing one of these little metal tick removers if you don't have one; they actually work great. And if you're out in shorts for a long time I would also recommend checking inside under the collar of your socks periodically. I've only had ticks on me 2 or 3 times but it's always been inside my socks.

nowhere is safe anymore, stay inside at all costs.
If you must leave your house for any reason please ensure that you're wearing proper CBRN gear and soak your body from the neck down in a 72.3%/27.7% deet permethrin mixture.

Do you mean Wisconsin? I have a theory that their alcoholism is an evolutionary adaptation to prevent Lyme's disease
