i am 100% convinced that the only way to get both your feet on both pedals without tipping over is to get your leg to go faster than the speed of light
>>2827760 (OP) I don't know wtf you're talking about homie If you feel like you have to pedal at an uncomfortably high cadence, shift into a harder gear. Once you're moving faster, the centrifugal force of the wheels stabilizes the bike.

Let the saddle, get on it, give yourself a push start with one leg down, then put it on the pedal and start peddlin. Can you really not ride a bike? It are you using clips on your mountain bike for some reason?
>>2827760 (OP) how autistic are you, that a bicycle confounds you?

>>2827760 (OP) You should be able to sit on the bike and lean with one leg to either side at a stop You may need to get a smaller frame or wheel size(29" is a lot for non-serious bikers, I prefer 27.5) Also, get a dropper post so that you can easily adjust the seating position without fucking with the tension doohickey

You should begin with one pedal almost at the top. Stand on this pedal to push yourself forward. Once you are moving, you can prevent the bike from tipping over by steering towards the direction the bike begins to fall. The initial push should give you enough momentum to prevent the fall and allow you to put the other foot in the other pedal .
>>2828033 this. when you get the hang of it you then sit down on the saddle almost exactly simultaneously with putting your second foot on the pedal. >t. Dutch

I just got my first actual bike, how do the gears work? I have 1-3 on one side and 1-7 on the other, whenever I switch the numbers I feel I am fucking something up with the noise it makes
>>2830173 Jesus CHRIST! Do you people seriously not know how to use bikes? >1 for going downhill/easy routes >2 for everyday biking >3 for uphill/strenuous biking
>on right hand side, 1-3 goes with 1, adjust accordingly, 1 being easiest, 3 hardest >3-5 goes with 2, adjust accordingly >6-7 with 3, again
>>2830221 Sorry got that backwards lol. 3 is for downhill/easy, 1 for uphill

>>2830213 >Jesus CHRIST! Do you people seriously not know how to use bikes? Right? I'd understand if someone was clueless about electronics, or combustion engines, but a bike? I feel like staring at one for a few minutes would answer most questions
