Ts very nice, goto the falls and try some local whitefish dip. Also, go to the coast of LS and look for interesting stones. Isle is worth it, look around for a charter plane or ferry. I hope you enjoy what Wisconsin will never take from Michigan!

Isle Royale National Park and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore are federal land. Porcupine Mountains Wilderness and Tahquamenon Falls are state land. What's nicer than those places?

Only worthwhile if you want to do all of the US state highpoints. Otherwise, other mountains in the Porkies will give you a better bang for your buck. Summit Peak, Cloud Peak and Cuyahoga Peak are considered three of the best in the midwest.

Really good stuff in the yoopee. Don't fucking bother during mosquito season, I worked a whole season there and its ridiculous how bad the mosquitos and flies are. I really enjoyed ottawa national forest, there is some really interesting diverse areas over there where the mixed forest can turn into tagalder swamps to lush pillowy spagnum bogs. Never been to isle. Would not live there, really good climbing all year round there but its a bit too lonely for me.

This wall is in the UP. Geologists say it's completely natural and not man made.
