Have you ever done urban exploration / urban climbing? If so, what do if cops are trying to catch you? Run? Stay put?

I used to paint stuff in my early 20s. trains, rooftops, subways blablabla. really crazy shit. we were better organized than terrorists back then. almost died a few times and went to jail a few times. would recommend. still miss it but I am not retarded enough anymore.

really depends on the situation. if you think you can get away, run. if they get the jump on you and aren't a fatass then I doubt running is gonna do you any good

I've done a little bit of UrbEx in my twenties. Nothing particularly special, just an abandoned hospital, abandoned hotel, construction sites for mansions at night. Did some tagging as a teenager.

It's fun but unless you're some idiot who likes disturbing the dead, or you're a hardcore tagger, it's not all that worth it.

If you're painting or doing something other than exploring, run like hell but if all you're doing is checking stuff out, act like a clueless tourist. At least in the US it works well with both property owners, cops, and judges. I caught a charge exploring an old dog racing facility outside of Phoenix. The sheriff showed up, found us standing on a mountain of pigeon shit, asked us politely to leave and wrote me a ticket because we drove my vehicle. I showed up in court told the judge, "I didn't realize this was private property. There were some signs but they were hung on the fence facing the direction of the field, not the actual facility, which had its own fence and open gate." As retarded as that sounds he dropped the charges and said it was unlikely the owner sufficiently marked the boundaries of the property if I just drove my car in there, and told me to stay away from it.

NTA but can any brits chime in on this? Seems like the best place to do it. Dunno if it's your right to roam laws, but the youtube vids I've seen tell me that at worst, you get told off by a bobbie
