My wife doesn't 'dislike' going camping but her list of needs for when we do go camping is so long and restrictive that it makes camping a total pain in the ass, especially organizing the trip.

It can't be:
>Too hot
>Too dry
>Too rainy
>Too high in elevation
>Too many bugs
>Too remote
>Too quiet
>Too minimal
>Too far away

Basically rules out about 75% of spots you could ever camp at. We still manage to go out a few times a year but Jesus, if you guys ever get married make sure you are aware of all this stuff before you do. And to top it off she gets really upset when I suggest going by myself. If you really love going /out/ more than anything in the world consider staying single bros.

then invite her. if she declines for any reason tell her it's ok and that you'll see her when you get back. call her a couple times a day and enjoy the rest of the time to yourself. you have to treat them like a child sometimes

Counterpoint: My wife loves camping, hiking and anything /out/. She has never, not once, shot down any trip I've suggested and these days she's more likely to find new places for us to check out that I am. We've climbed to 21,000 feet together, lived out of a 4x4 for a year for our honeymoon and fucked in more national parks than I could count on both hands.

It's not marriage anons need to worry about, it's marriage to the wrong person.

My wife and I lived together for, like, 8 years before getting married. In fact, it was more of a "well I guess we should go do the paperwork, we're missing out on tax breaks and some insurance shit and might as well, we definitely aren't going anywhere at this point ." And it's a fair point. Now we're watching some of our friends get married after a year or two of dating and wondering if they've even ever really had a fight or had to overcome any sort of "irreconcilable difference", because at a year or two, we really hadn't. Honestly I don't think you should marry someone until you've at least thought about leaving them a few times. "Don't get married until after the honeymoon." Some people are going to call that cope, but they're either naive as fuck (i.e incels) or in those sorts of miserable relationships where nobody talks about anything because they're too afraid of admitting the relationship isn't perfect and their partner isn't their "soul mate" or whatever ideal they've been fed by some commercialized Disney image of romance or Internet echo chamber they hang around in.

But I got pretty lucky. My wife likes hiking and backpacking and camping and rafting. She won't do anything involving snow, because she goes out for different reasons than me, where for her it's more about plants and geology and ecology and foraging and stuff, where for me I'm more /out/ for just adventure's sake. There are no plants in the winter where we live, it's all buried under 8 ft of snow. But at least she legitimately likes going /out/ on her own terms. She's not too serious about any of it, and I do kinda have to play outfitter and guide sometimes, but I enjoy that aspect.

Find a club or group of guys you can go out with for the sort of outings your wife/gf doesn't want to go on.

Meta: I've noticed recently the jannies have been deleting or moving all relationship / women advice related threads on /out/ to /b/. I get where they're coming from, it's seems all they can do to prevent /out/ from becoming "/r9k/ - outdoors edition", but there used to at least be the "Ever taken a gril /out/?" [sic] thread that sort of served as the "relationships and women general" containment thread for /out/. Noticed it hasn't been remade in a bit, or maybe the jannies put an end to that too, but there isn't really any other board to discuss this stuff on because if you take this to /r9k/ or /adv/, etc, you're just going to get a bunch of shut-in incels.

This is the way. I'll invite my wife sometimes when I think she'll want to go. Otherwise I do my own thing and she stays at home doing whatever. I like my alone time. My wife is different though. She's cool with my getting hand jobs at asian massage parlours and going to strip clubs, alright I rarely do either of those things.

And before you say she's cheating, no she isn't. She's got the lowest sex drive I've ever seen in anyone. But she's been good to me and been there for me when I need it most and vice versa. I do get as many tit jobs as I want though.
