Any car dwellers here?

What’s your car and setup? Or what would be if you were to do it.
I’ve been in the Prius for 2 years now, but I’m kind of wanting a 4Runner, it’s just the gas bit kills me for them.
I was also considering an Outback

i was doing this for about a year during covid
it was a 80s series landcruiser i got for crazy cheap. mattress in the back, 200w of solar on the roof, three 100amp batteries (including the one the car ran off of) all charged by said solar
i drove up and down australias east coast a few times and had a good time overall
wouldnt recommend as a house alternative though, its more of a camping alternative

i had a SAAB 95 aero sport-combi turbo. shit was cash, bought it before getting a drivers license, failed my drivers license like 10+ times (might be odd to like, an American, who can drive at fuckin, idunno 15? and just has to avoid some cones or go to Walmart to qualify for a license)
so i dropped it, so it was basically just a radio with 4 wheels.
loads of space in the back, my canoe on the roof rack when i could get a friend to drive it. because, again, no license

pretty funny, since i do have a tractor license, so, a 9 ton tractor with two trailers? fine! no problemo, go right ahead!
a normal everyday stationwagon? no NO! too dangerous!!

>failed my drivers license like 10+ times
You are a seriously retarded person, aren't you?
I mean, failing a couple of times is fine, 10+ times shows there's something wrong with you.

But they were really nice to you with the tractor license, in my country you'd be fucked, you need a truck license to get the tractor license (for >6000kg, car license otherwise)

Bed/hatchback tents: cringe or efficient use of space?

well, it was 17 times specifically, generally, i am not retarded, was drinking heavily at the time, was responsible enough to not drive when i was hungover or, still drunk from the night before

I´m doing better now, yea got the tractor license when i was 15, dont really need a car for anything other then my canoes

pontiac aztek was peak

99% of the problem with the Aztek was the ugly front end. Other than that, it was a great car for its target audience.

Currently I have Chevrolet Beat, for work obviously; but in about 3 months I'll be buying another car and I want to use it for camping mostly.
I have a 2025 Jimmy in mind, but what do you guys recommend for a solo camper?
Sometimes 2 or 3 friends tag along.

I have a Duster. It's fun to drive across Europe, but sleeping in it isn't very comfortable, at least for me, so it's better to pitch a tent next to the car for the night.

It's nice to have a small 12V refrigerator for food, snacks and beer, a lot of room for drinking water, gasoline cans...

I recently bought additional LED lights for the interior and, just to be on the safe side, a jump starter.

Really nice car. I know a guy from our town who drove that car daily. He then sold it to some kids and they totally destroyed it. Idiots.
