probably the best you can find on this planet. not due to variety but ease of access and lack of people.
we dont usually do trail hiking, we can hike anywhere so no need for it, but if you come here as a tourist there are trails that basicly start at the airport and you will be in the wild by the end of the day.

hot tip, do not focus so much on trails. the hike anywhere you want thing is real, just plan a route and go there. trails are often the shortest route from A to B and rarely the best scenery. if they do have good scenery you can bet they are packed full of tourists.
The transition from Northern Finland to Norway has to be seen to be believed. It's like the border guys said yeah yeah you can have all that deer scrub we'll take those mountains and big lakes.

its really just a slow sliding transition, unless you are at the coast of norway or in the finnish forest you cant really tell what side of the border you are on.
