Tripod thread
Hello /p/ I am a casual to this board and photography, but I am /trv/ and I am looking for an extremely compact chest height tripod which has the video pan feature like in picrel (unless you can convince me otherwise)
the most important things to me are
>affordability
>compact (dimensions wise, ideal for carry-on backpacks) this is critical
>weight doesn't really matter as I always weight under whenever I fly abroad
>Ideally I don't want to spend more then 150-200 euro.
I am a casual and this is a lot of money for something I will use once in a blue moon
I have a Fuji xt-30ii with kit lens, I just want a tripod for nature shots, long exposure shots, group photos, time lapses etc (I would like the video lever for panning shots etc if I am filming but this is not critical) since looking into tripods I really did not expect them to get this expensive desu. Any advice would be great.

Get an expensive one or get none.

All of the really small and light tripods are absurdly overpriced for being 3 tubes hinged together so i scored a used sirui t series tripod on ebay for $15 and just deal with it

Sirui is a decent choice for not spending a lot of money. Anything less is really just asking for an annoying pain in the ass. Otherwise a used manfrotto seems to be the general consensus on /p/.

Benro are also okay, they’re essentially gitzo clones, the one I have for my 4x5 is decently solid and chunky
