It's incredibly difficult to capture photographs of american politicians without them looking like uncanny demons. This is mostly due to them being uncanny demons.

Wide angle lens in constrained space, people on the edge look bigger than people in the middle.

As someone who has done tight-space interior group portraits, there's not fuckin' much you can do. Even the best UWA is going to make the side people noticably bigger and correcting the distortion is going to result in even more fucky wucky.
