I don't understand why sony keeps trying to make tiny mirrorless bodies but not small glass. Theres only a few small lenses for full frame e mount and they're all abysmal dogshit. If you're not going to make small lenses, all making the bodies smaller does is make your camera horrendously balanced.

The only small lenses on nikon z are garbage. 2x all plastic 1x buzzy dogshit. Canon only has one decent small 28mm (phone!) lens with sterile rendering, 3.5 stops of vignetting, and tons of focus breathing.

Be glad you get the ttartisan and viltrox 40mms (that also fit nikon), zeiss and samyang 35mm f2.8s, sony 24/40/50 set, ttartisan 75mm f2, and sigma 90mm f2.8. Canon doesnt get any of this. Just a repackaged dslr 50mm and a phone lens.

It never affected anyone because no one actually uses weather sealing except for youtubers who quickly replacd the tested camera. Even pros with canon r1s throw a tarp over their camera. Its a marketing meme.

Probably because it's not a compact? The RX100s are compacts, the A7CII is just an A7IV without a viewfinder.

My best guess is isopropyl alcohol. A lot of people use it to clean electronics, screens etc and also cameras (which they shouldn't) and don't realize what it can do to rubber. I knew a boomer that would clean his windshield with it since it was streak free and could really clean glass well, but he'd also give his wipers a wipe with it and would constantly be replacing his wipers since he never figured out the alcohol was fucking up the rubber.

I have literally never heard of a 1st gen sony a7c with a crumbling seal. It affected the initial run of a7cii and a7cr bodies and sony warrantied repairs.
