This looks like it would be the wealthiest most fabulous place to live on the American continent, instead it's forgotten and hidden.

I imagine the beaches and shit would be amazing. This could be an Italian peninsula on its own but it's invisible.

is it really that bad?
I look at LA and SF, some of the most beautiful cities (SF is, LA used to be), and marvel at the buildings. the SF bay area is some of the wealthiest land in the world.

But Baja california is really that barren? it's also a bay, a massive bay, people want more beachfront properties. I'm wondering why this prime real estate is ignored.

It's so funny crossing the border from San Diego and driving south along the coast, through TJ and into Ensenada.
As soon as you cross the border it's entering a new world - trash everywhere, lining the streets, graffiti covers everything, traffic becomes a cluster fuck - it's a massive contrast to San Diego which is this wealthy sparkling city full of large-scale architecture and expensive stores.
As you drive south you see just tons of empty coastal property and dozens of half-finished buildings that look like they've been sitting for years or decades - someone started building a nice ocean-view building and then just abandoned it.
In the US there would be developers climbing over each other to buy it up and pack houses into every square inch, but they're just so disorganized down there and the corruption makes it so difficult to get anything done that nobody really tries.

It's crazy to think what it would have been like in the USA. California really only bases its identity and wealth on the coast and forgets about anything 100 miles inland.
And to see this massive bay 1000 times larger than the San Fransisco Bay area, and it's just this land stuck in time - like it's 1800 when only fishermen live on the coast.

Californians climb over each other to live on their coasts. Baja California under America would be 5 New Yorks + San Fransisco.

Had tons of desert tribes who didn't amount for much but built some cool areas, spaniards thought it was too far away for it to be fun other than some port cities like La Paz and San Jose del Cabo.
First injun president from the deep south declares an unannounced war on them centuries later for trying (and succeeding) in separating briefly into a separate nation, killed more than half of the people living there and destroyed most of the old sites. Survivors went to Sonora and Sinaloa, others went to the gold rush in Upper California.
After some old mines were rediscovered they put truckloads of southern mexicans in the rural areas, effectively ethnic cleansed the few remaining natives outside La Paz.
In WWII the mexican congress, composed of mostly southern mexicans eternally buttmad at Yucatan and Northern Mexican stubborness, decide to sell it to either the US or the european nations' fund for jews to live in. President surnamed Aleman cockblocks the law and two forerunners of said papers die.
Somewhere in the 50 and 60's it becomes a tourist spot for some reason, many US criminals escape here or do their shenanigans like kid murdering rituals in Loreto or coke fiend parties at Cabo San Lucas.
Nowadays they get bullied by neighbor states for having no culture and no real people, it's a desert in which its keepers were killed long ago and legends went untold other than few remaining stories and sites. Supposedly old chinese galleons are there from pre-Columbus times, russian pirate port colonies were a thing or so they say, both these groups were around due to the area being widely known for the oversized pearls.

This desu, southern cricket niggers get mad at that interesting event.
Not really american clay tho, William came here to fillibust some border land and two entire states agreed to him to give themselves up if he guaranteed protection and tax cuts, he did and then ran away when the federal army knocked the doors and started genociding the natives. He then went to El Salvador and did the same, i think he ended up getting killed there.
US could've had more land if they had just sent a battalion but i think they were in the eve of the Civil War.

Arizona getting rocky point would have changed history. It becomes a massive port. Colorado river remains an actual river and not a dammed up trickle. Rocky Point becomes a massive naval base during WWII, due to being protected by Baja.

Other Arizona rivers would have kept their shipping potential. Phoenix isn't quite as hot due to the water cycle not being fucked up. Yuma has relevance. The former riparian nature of the Sonoran Desert would have been preserved. Instead the ecology has been struggling for 100 years and nobody noticed only because cactus live so long.

It's possible but you have to struggle against cartels, anglo "explorers" aka jew mercs stealing shit and the government declaring anything cool a federal property and bussing hundreds of illiterate subhumans to cleanse the natives.
Mexico is one of those countries where the natives do not declare or "discover" cool ancestral areas because that means destruction of their homes via economic fuckery and population replacement. See what happened to the mennonites and the mayans.

In Tijuana you have medical tourism, sex tourism, incels going to hong kong brothel and the redlight

Further down you have beachside towns with coastal sea-themed restaurants in Ensenada and Rosarito

I went fishing with my dad and uncle one time in Ensenada we got squid and fish and saw whales, this was like back in 07ish maybe Idk

Further all the way down you have cabo and la paz and other towns by the water

Cabo being the most famous for white sorority bitches and frat bros to go party and get charged gringo taxes, also for white drunk bitches to get fondled by meseros

There's also some place in baja where you can go see sharks, I forgot where exactly it was, I think maybe further off the coast of Ensenada

Also the Baja 1000

Your circle also includes Mexicali I believe which is close to the us border and apparently famous for its chinese food in mex

There's obscure references in some local books, by the time i find the source this thread will be long over but there's not much to be said according to legend, they just traded with La Paz pearl fishermen and had some holes on the beach to rest before supposedly returning.
In theory it could've not been difficult, they were already in Anchorage and the sea currents naturally reach the area. Hence why the chinese story also makes sense, by currents only they could've reached Sinaloa.

They really aren't. You guys are the closest to the ideal. From what I've seen anyway. Thailand is close or maybe even better depending on taste.
I like how your bars take the customer seriously. All the servers wear a number and open bottles in front of you. It's like, they know that you're in the middle of this ultra dangerous place and they do everything they can to make you feel like you're insulated from that. I appreciate that. Very good customer service.
Also latinas > asians there's just no way around that. When they're 18-25 anyway.

It's one of the most expensive cities in the entire country, what kind of overpaying shenanigans did you guys do?
Rentals are up the wall and food is expensive even compared to tourist sites bar Cancun, even whores are expensive or so they say
And what kind of tacos did you eat, all mex stuff there sucked ass compared to other places except the chinese food, it is really good but Mexicali/SLRC and some parts of Sonora compete easily and for way less money.

But yes you get dark shady feel especially at night but its not that dangerous for most people. I enjoyed my time there. Mexican people are more genuine and friendly and less likely to stab you in the back like south americans

Mutts don't get it but i am not saying it's good, let me explain it to you like 3 little shells:
In a bathroom connected to a city sewage system, in which you have a 4' plumbing fixed to it and your toilet has enough pressure to drown big enough turds with paper, you put the shat paper in to go away.
If your bathroom is not connected to a sewage system, which is often in old houses and rural areas, and your toilet is old and/or connected with only a 2' galvanized tube, then you poop in it only, the paper goes aside. Why? because if not then the thing that tube is connected to, usually a sanitary register outside the house, will get all the paper plastered everywhere, made hard and seal itself with a massive poo paper plug.

That's why your dumbass retarded nigger mutt face has to hire sewage fags to unplug your registers every 5 years in suburban houses with an industrial stirrer and a vacuum that sucks all the poo into a big ass truck. If you don't put paper in then that shit will naturally go into the underground aquifers and filtrate itself with rocks, stones and soil.

They should just systematically bulldoze this dump, except for the little Chinesca neighborhood which could be cool in the desert. Use the bulldozed material collected for land reclamation on the coast. Imagine a rollercoaster on reclaimed land right on the San Diego/TJ coast.

Once we take over Baja and don't need that border wall anymore, we can build an amusement park there right on the water. Would be beautiful. There's a river estuaray right next to it too, which would be nice to see from up above form your 25th floor hotel window or something .

We'll turn the Playas de Tijuana into a proper resort town. I'm thinking of changing the name into "Playjas" or something fun like that.

Chicali(s) is a slang term for people from Mexicali, it's a love term not used as a derogatory. The bad slang for them would be chinamen or dogeaters.
>explain
Border towns and cities in Northern Mexico are known for their rampant crime, liberal voting and all kinds of loonie shit due to continental immigration staying there so they are often enabling or not caring about stuff like niggers, voodoo shit, Santa Muerte altars in plain sight and foreigners openly stepping on locals.
Enabler is a long-winded result of an insult translation against border people, when they come down to any town or city and if they whine about something we just reply with "you are an enabler anyways" or "te dejas igual" meaning something like they just let things go by without doing anything, be it crime or prices. Dejados would be the original word, kinda like cuck but that's another word.

The resort bullshit is literally Yucatan, except it got separated by federal law because most of the insurgents lived there. Then decades later it was renamed Quintana Roo.
Did you know Yucatan was its own country until Mexico invaded it and killed the spaniard elite? it was once called the white city because all the downtowners were euros but once the french-sided mexican elites got in they started chopping heads. Rural injuns, aka descendants of the mayans, got mad but ultimately got sieged in the jungle and their ancestral areas turned resorts.

Mexico's only real issue (other than the Mexicans) is a lack of rivers. You've got maybe a half dozen navigable rivers which means that before the past 130 or so years it was difficult to build cities in most of the country due to transportation problems. That's why most of Mexico's population is around the South/Central corridor where Lake Texcoco was.

>when you can just ship everything from the sea?
Sea is countercurrent away from Baja if you are in the mexican shore, you would need to sail from the deep south (subhumans here) go to the pacific and then come from the north to port. Very skilled explorers like Cortez and the ruskie pirates could do it often hence why the area is known locally as Sea of Cortez.
Also good luck shipping all the supplies and along the sandy and rocky roads
>the cheapest transportation mean
Not back then, big boats were hard to come by as they were military only, civilians couldn't have nor build them
>Are you from this region? How is the rain there?
Yeah, it rained last week, a good spot since we didn't have it for two consecutive days since August and the odd day in January. We still need a good bunch more but i don't think it will rain well unless the gov chemtrails us again with silver plane farts.

>The word "pirates" intrigued me because I never heard of piracy really being a thing for Russians
Russians were famous for their river pirates, there's a whole lore about that with their Fitzcarraldo shenanigans with slaves carrying shit and mythical circular behemoth boats.
We supposedly got the imperial, lawless but polite kind that were probably seasoned explorers from the Kamchatka journeys from Vitus Bering or Herr Steller.

Your instinct is correct that western nations (and now middle eastern ones) have developed far shittier pieces of land into valuable real estate and COULD do the same in Baja.

But I think itโ€™s just that Mexico is viewed as such a risky, cartel-driven shithole outside of the Yucatรกn tourist strip that no one really thinks itโ€™s worth the effort.

One of the top suppliers in the 1970s of LSD to the west coast of the United States ended up there after he got out of prison. He lived in a broken down van along the beach. He died a penniless hippie. The locals knew nothing about his past. Anyway, his ashes are in a box under a guy's bed in a room above a ice cream parlor. Somehow I got snarled up into having to deal with all of this mess. The LSD hippie's daughter was one of my side girls at the time. The stupid shit I do for pussy.
