We are expecting a baby next Feb (very early days). I guess I am like a lot of you anons in the sense that I don't like the medical system, like things being natural, believe that "they" are trying to fuck us all generally.

Even though it's so far away I'm freaking out about how the baby will be born. I am actually getting sick to my stomach and can't sleep or think properly.

I want it to happen like this:

- baby comes out of my partner
- I catch him and pass him STRAIGHT TO his mothers chest where he will remain forever
- no other person touches my child during this time and any Apgar test will be done visually only
- the cord is not clamped for at least 1 hour

I don't know why, but I feel like even though what I'm asking is very basic and reasonable, they just won't like it. I fucking hate them already and it's essentially 8 months away.

My questions for any anon dads out there:

- Am I missing anything on my little checklist?
- What have your experiences been? Maybe I won't need to fight so hard for this.
- Any tips for getting help against these eusocial freaks? We're not poor, but I don't think going private will necessarily help.

Bro, two things. One you are in the U.K. So good luck having any freedom on the matter. Two, they want healthy zogbots and soldiers. The doctors will be doing things to make sure the child is healthy. If you want, you and your wife can opt for a natural birth procedures. That carries some risk though. Unless she is actually healthy for her age, weight, height, etc. I'd just choose listening to the doctor. The only thing on that list that actually matters is the umbilical cord wait time. You can usually contact a hospital ahead of time and you can leave them with a note on the issue for extra time for the stem cells to enter the child. You can also just opt to not have the umbilical cord cut. You have to plan ahead though. If you end up at a different hospital. Or the baby needs to be prematurely born. Then it's out of your hands.
Opt out of Circumcision if you can, however there are some birth defects that will require it. So don't make an ass of yourself by being overly aggressive or studious. Men actually do get overwhelmed with emotions when their child is born. If you are in an aggressive/defensive mindset. You might lash out and end up in jail. Don't fuck this up by being a retard.
Don't stress your wife out too much during this process with too much preparation or too little. Consult with her on this too. So she'll want more. Visit family as often as you can. Take her to friends, or invite them over.
Lastly, don't count your eggs before they hatch. You're worried about your baby getting jewed when it get's outside of the womb. Are you making nutritious dinners and breakfasts while it's developing though in the womb? Steady pregnancy exercises like water yoga or the like?
You can do far more for the infant now, while it's developing. Than you can after it's born. Help the fetus grow well as it can.
Healthy fats for brain development. Leafy greens and vegetables for healthy blood and immune system.

Midwives can actually provide medical care during emergency situations. Doula cannot legally touch your wife for specifically "medical purposes".

The cord is clamped and cut when it's empty, which is around 5-15 minutes. Delaying it for a few drops will do more harm than good. The baby needs to be wrapped and attempt breastfeeding.

My tip is, support your wife any way you can, have a bag prepared 2 months before set date with essentials, powerade, towel, extra clothes for both of you, clothes for the newborn. During the birth, stand beside your wife, hold your her hand, give her encouraging words and don't ask needless questions ("does it hurt? durr"). Take pictures before and when she is starting to go into labour, she won't like it when she's in pain.

It's not necessary to wait an hour. That's both excessive and does not provide any benefit. I've delivered my own babies in my own home. As soon as the baby is born the blood is pumped from the placenta into the baby. All you need to do is wait till it's *white* and then make the cut, but there is no rush though. After the baby is born the placenta is going to need to be (gently) pulled / push out and that's when a lot of blood comes with it. Expect her to bleed like it's her worst period for about 3 weeks at a minimum. Don't expect sex for...oh about 45 days at the soonest, likely 3 months.

The best way for her (you should marry her) to give birth is to trust you completely to make the right decisions for her when she's in labor. Hospitals are horrible and bad for a lot of reasons. Birthing centers are far better than hospitals as all the staff is expecting you and ready - you schedule this in advance. The best option is to give birth at home with a small team of qualified midwives. That's what I did. I did much of the work and they just supervised.

Absolutely have breastfeeding as the goal. Most women do produce enough milk, true some don't, but more often than not there is a latching problem. It's something new to both infant AND mother & they will have to figure that out.

The two important things here are:
1. HAVE THE BABY'S MOUTH CHECKED by a La Leche or whatever you bongs call the nurse that literally specializes in breastfeeding. Going private Healthcare may help with access to this specialist.
Two out of three of my kids had their frenulum (not the dick one) too tight for latching, one just top lip, other both top & bottom lip. Those two also had tongue ties that wouldn't allow enough tongue movement for proper latching. They will have to see an ENT who will snip the areas needed. Immediate breastfeeding success after this, at least for my wife.

2. It's less important how the baby is fed (breastfeeding vs bottle) than it is WHAT the baby is fed. If your wife can't breastfeed immediately pass her the breast pump & fill those bottles. In the US formula is basically leftover tofu slop (onions based bullshit) so as long as your kid gets breastmilk, delivery method is less important.

I recommend a water birth, and I -highly- recommend lots of sex especially in the third trimester. Also, perineal oil and perineal massages (look them up).
