Why haven't we built a pipeline from the Great Lakes to the Southwest yet?

Seems to be a wasted resource as the fresh water just sits there and does nothing.

There are millions of Americans in the Southwest that need access to water. Think of the opportunities that we are missing out on.

Why can't you clean all that water in that giant body of water next to you
First we give you water from our rivers in Colorado and now you want the Great lakes too?
I think it's time the (((southwest))) come up with their own solutions to getting their own water instead of demanding we give them ours
Like if you got water problems do you really need a grassy lawn and golf courses?
Why don't you parasites learn to stop being wasteful and stealing from the river and lake peoples because you niggers chose to live in a scorching desert?

aral sea was in an arid area and dried up because rivers feeding it were diverted to irrigate cotton fields. river can be re diverted and aral sea will fill back up again, but growing cotton if much more profitable.
great lakes have huge watershed and replenish water through natural precipitation (aka a diversifies source of water)
although mississipi river would be a better source since it causes huge floods

I live in a Chicago highrise. Two sides are beautiful Lake Michigan, which I drink, bath and swim in.

We would love to share this delicious resource with you but we cannot. It would speed up Climate Change ^tm. You imposed Climate Change ^tm rules on us for our own good. So we must conserve every precious drop and this means we have to keep our Great Lakes local.

Also, we're full, so don't move here.

Consider changing where the gas comes from and you might not run out, like say from a Russian company called gazprom, which maybe boast an oil reserve that can be leveraged so as not to run out in America, also then consider a rout through the berring straight to go through alaska and Canada into say maybe Texas, which can be leveraged to facilitate the spread of oil to get it to places with logistically sound planning, so as not to run out, transported in say shipping containers and stretches of pipeline that are approved, and then trucks as a last resort measure if possible to reduce transmission cost from pipeline to container to transport enough gas to make the us have a sustained but not sustainable enough energy infrastructure for however long gazprom can supply it

Californians water problems are entierly the result of californias shitty water management practices and destruction of it's own watersheds. Real retard shit like paving over the LA river in an already arid region so even during the wet season the water can no longer soak into the soil creating a concrete desert where there used to be a river whichs recursively feeds back into the problem. Las vegas is even more arid and yet is far far better at water management than LA is. They neither deserve it with the way their practices are now nor would it actually help them in the long run while costing others. Building water infrastructure and pipelines for california is like sending food aid to africa.

It's not just the Rocky Mountains that's the problem. Ever heard the phrase "as flat as Kansas"? Guess what? Even being "flat", if you cross the entire state you end up with about 3500 feet in elevation gain, meaning you have to use energy to pump the water up the entire way.
Pic related the highest point in Kansas. Despite the area being flat, it's still over 3000 feet higher than the other side of the state. Same is true for most of the states between the Great Lakes and the Rocky Mountains.

Doesnโ€™t matter if itโ€™s expensive as long as California can afford it (they will). Plus they can always do what the Romanโ€™s did and build aqueducts and gravity feed the entire pipeline (with the occasional pump house powered by fracked oil)

Then you put the pipes underground. You can also use aqueducts or siphons to cross rivers and canyons.
The Romans figured this all out 2000 years ago.
The problem will be $$$

It can't gravity feed to the southwest because the southwest is higher in elevation than the Great Lakes.

That's my point retard. That pipeline would have to maintain a certain slope over the entire distance which means once you're in the southwest it would end up way deep relative to surface grade.
I wonder how deep that pipeline would end up being / how high you'd have to pump the water to the surface

Are you retarded? If you put it one foot underground, by the time you get to the other end of the state the pipe is 3500 feet underground (actually even further down than that because you want gravity to assist with flow). It is amazing how people like you are able to live your daily life when you are incapable of even the most basic of logical thought.

I did some retard math and used distance from Chicago to Phoenix which is about 1,799 miles
If my shit is accurate, and it very well may not be cuz am retard, to maintain a 1% slope over that distance you're pipeline would need to lose about 18 miles of elevation, which means by the time you're in Phoenix you have to pipe the water up 18 miles just to get back to Chicago elevation, and then whatever elevation on top of that to get to the surface, which seems to be about another 900-1,000 feet if Chicago is roughly 600 ft and phoenix is roughly 1500 feet

I guess one reason you wouldn't want to is to create an aral sea situation for all the poor midwesterners. Plus all these niggers, spics and kikes could never get the motivation to do a new Panama canal, Mackinac Bridge or any cool infrastructure projects under the current paradigm. Also a bunch of people are gonna die from the shots and other depopulation actions so what would the point be.

its way too expensive. you can build pipelines for oil because oil is like $50 a barrel, or over $1 per gallon. water costs less than one hundredth of that. even with the water shortages in california, farmers there pay less than a tenth of a penny per gallon to irrigate their farms. (they buy water by the acre-foot.) so i dont want to hear your retarded arguments about how we can do it for oil but not water.
